Abella Neighborhood Watch Join Our Twitter Group in 11 Steps

Step 1: Visit www.twitter.com and click the “Get Started – Join!” button. If you have an account skip to Step 8 now.



Step 2: Complete the registration form and click “Create my account”



Step 3: You can skip the step of looking for your friends. You can do that later without opening your address book.



Step 4: You can uncheck the option of following celebrities and popular news media, if you want. And you can add them later too. So uncheck the box at the top and click “finish”.



Step 5: You can update your public info and add your cell phone for receiving instant messages from the Abella Neighborhood Watch by clicking “Profile”. So click that next.



Step 6: And click the “Devices” tab.



Step 7: Next, enter your cell phone number as: “+1[area code][phone number]”. For example: +15108675309. And be sure to check the box: “Itʼs okay for Twitter to send text messages to my phone.” Remember: Twitter messages are text messages, as far as your cell phone rate plan is considered. And you can always turn this off if you no longer want real-time messaging from Abella Neighborhood Watch.



Step 8: Almost done. Now, using your cell phone, send a text message to: 40404. The text message you send should be the green code that is displayed on the page. This confirms your permission to receive text messages from Twitter.



Step 9: Sign up to AbellaWatch by visiting www.twitter.com/abellawatch and click the button: “Send Request”. We require registration so only community members receive updates. A short while later, the Neighborhood Watch Committee will approve your request. Keep reading – there are two more quick steps.



Step 10: After sending your request, click the link on the right that reads “Following”.



Step 11: The LAST step! Click “On” to receive device updates from AbellaWatch to your cell phone via text message.



Congratulations! Abella Neighborhood Watch by Twitter is complete!

By registering to this service you will receive immediate updates and notices the

Neighborhood Watch Committee broadcasts to subscribers like you.
