Abitur 20

Our Abitur 20 course is recommended for students who are preparing for the Abitur course, mainly done in Germany.

SCHOOLSThis course operates at LAL Brighton.

CONTENTOur Abitur course is designed to give a general overview of the work needed for the Abitur exam.

There are three main components:

• Language awareness

• Literature and literary devices

• Examination techniques and learner training

DAILY LIFEStudents will benefit from 15 hours a week of lessons and will take part in 2 half day excursions and 1 full day excursion per week organised and supervised by the school. For excursion calendars, please see flyers for individual schools.

WHAT YOU CAN ACHIEVEThere will be a focus on:

• Widening vocabulary, grouping words by theme instead of grammar and showing finer differences of meaning

• Develop reading skills and analysis of a text with practice from past Abitur exam papers and modern literature and media

• Practice of the writing of essays and summaries, using the correct grammar, suitable vocabulary and logical structure and maintaining interest for the reader
