Reverse Engineering

Reverse Engineering is the process of getting to the design of acomponent/part from the manufactured item, as the name suggestsit is just the opposite to general engineering practice where first wedesign and then manufacture.

Reverse Engineering is generally used for items whoseDrawings/Documentation are either lost or are not available, or foritems whose manufacturer are no longer available, or for items forwhich we want more procurement options as a buyer.

Why Reverse Engineering?

If you are a part of any Process Industry, be it Manufacturing orProcessing you would agree that the most difficult part inMaintenance is Timely & economical procurement of Spares.

The major concerns being OEM not ready to supply spares, they askfor complete replacement of faulty assembly/sub-assembly, and/orthe Order books of OEM's is too full & they don't supply spareswhen required.

There are certain spares for which there is monopoly of somevendors & they quote exorbitant rates.

Page 7: ABNL Presentation

Why Reverse Engineering?

For the same we are sure you might have tried getting yourDraftsmen/Engineers on the job of preparing the drawings of sparesby measuring them & then making their drawings. But as we knowmaking a good drawing is directly proportional to theexperience/skill of the person making the drawing & to makematters worse manual measuring instruments have their ownlimitations & difficulty to use. For e.g. There is no measuring instrument available to measure the

curvature/radius of objects.

Why Reverse Engineering?

"Wouldn't it be great if there was a service provider who can provide you with the Manufacturing Drawing of your running & hard to find spares, better still the vendor can do the job using the latest state of the art technology to give you unbelievably accurate results."

Your search ends here

We understand your concerns & hence we have come up with this unique solution for you where as we bridge the gap between demand & supply.

We use state of the art 3D laser scanners & advanced Reverse Engineering Solutions to scan your spare & get back to you with a complete manufacturing/fabrication drawing. That too without any manual measurement taken all done through breakthrough technology.

Why Reverse Engineering?

3D Laser Scanning

We employ state of the art 3D laser scanners & Reverse Engineering software's for reverse engineering of spares.

We deploy the 3D scanner on site (Yes we don’t take your spare away from you), the basic advantage of our imported 3D scanner is that it is portable & has no size limitation.

Partly Damaged Spares can also be done

Advantages of Reverse Engineering over conventional methods

1. Time Saving - Development of spare part drawings in the least amount of

time.

2. Accuracy- High Accuracy 3D Scanning, no manual measurements taken.

3. Generate drawings of damaged components/Spares.

4. Get as many views (Section Views/detail View) immediately on click of a

button as required.

5. Generation of Assembly drawings/Views/Exploded views.

6. Automatic BOM generation from Assembly.

7. Better visual presentation for the manufacturer/user to understand the

spare.

Applications for Virtual Simulations

1. Training of new Engineers in organizations about the various Assemblies / Sub

Assemblies and their various parts and there working in a virtual environment

(Computer)

2. In trouble shoot of items/pointing out problematic areas to higher authorities, while in

presentations.

3. Archival of important components/assemblies used in your organization for the future

references explaining its working.

4. Showing any kind of custom arrangements.

5. Any other use you might find it helpful.
