Deakin’s Melbourne Burwood Campus

Melbourne Burwood Campus is Deakin’s thriving metropolitan campus, attracting about 23 000 undergraduate and postgraduate on-campus students. It boasts open and inviting spaces for socialising and studying, innovative architecture, spacious new buildings and wireless hotspots. It is located in Melbourne’s eastern suburbs, about 45 minutes by tram from the city centre.

Geelong Waterfront Campus is located on Corio Bay, in the central business district of Geelong. Geelong Waurn Ponds Campus is located on the western edge of Geelong. The campus features expansive landscaped grounds and extensive sporting facilities. THE CAMPUSThe Campus is currently housed in two multi-storey buildings in the heart of Colombo. The buildings consist of 30 spacious air-conditioned lecture rooms, two computer laboratories, a library, and a Resource centre containing all the amenities that enables quality learning, this includes access to partner universities, online library facilities and e-learning facilities. The constructions of the premises are to international standards. The entire campus is Wi-Fi enabled and students also have an enclosed parking space for easy access to the building.

ANC Education’s modern City Campus provides facilities that are among the best Sri-Lanka has to offer, this includes a state-of-the-art facility, housing multi-media equipped air-conditioned lecture rooms, computer laboratories, a unique student lounge, faculties and labs for math and writing, and to top it off they have convenient administrative offices.

The list of facilities goes on, with an expanding library and a modern up-to-date science laboratory. Students also have access to a wide range of co-curricular activities, like the Interact Club, Art Club and sporting teams.

ENGINEERINGLABORATORYWorld-class facilities are available for students to do their practical training; this includes welding, sheet metal work, etc. Further, demonstrations and multiple training sessions are done with cut-away models, gear boxes, etc. Students have the chance to observe organized demonstration activities in the laboratory.

LECTURE ROOMSApart from the experienced professors at ANC, students learn in spacious but not impersonal lecture halls. ANC Education ensures students a proper education environment and equal opportunities to learn the maximum class size is 30. The ANC facility has 30 lecture rooms and two special purpose study rooms, which are all constructed to US standards. All lecture rooms are equipped with computers, audio-visual equipment, such as overhead projectors and multi-media presentation equipment, comfortable seating and are fully air-conditioned.

The library and resource centre is so much more than just a room or facility, but yet a forward thinking concept that brings multiple resources together on a global scale to broaden the horizons of ANC students. The volume of resources is continuously growing and will continue to do so, with the aim of bringing the best of what the world has to offer, for students at ANC Education. The resource facility inculcates both physical and virtual material. You will find approximately 5000 volumes, consisting of both conventional hard-copy books and virtual volumes (electronic books) on CD. The resource centre is equipped with all amenities required for quality teaching and learning, this includes e-learning facilities and even access to partner universities.

SCIENCELABORATORIESNearly all the equipment and supplies in the laboratory are imported, and the lab has been constructed to international standards, giving students the right exposure. The ANC Science laboratory is certainly one of the finest labs found in Sri-Lanka. This Laboratory accommodates 32 students and has individual work stations for each student.

There are two specialized computer labs, with over a total of 100 computers in these labs. Each lab is equipped with state of the art computer equipment, and students have controlled access to printing, scanning, internet and other related facilities.

A fun filled lounge for students to relax in and socialize in when they have time away from their academic schedules. It is situated on the 5th floor and has a variety of facilities, including televisions (with cable service), pool table and a cafeteria.
