The Independent Consultation and Investigation Mechanism (ICIM)

Currently,◗the◗mandate◗of◗the◗ICIM◗applies◗to◗six◗Operational◗Policies:◗◗ Access◗to◗Information◗◗ Environmental◗and◗Safeguard◗Compliance◗◗ Disaster◗Risk◗Management◗◗ Involuntary◗Resettlement◗◗ Gender◗Equality◗in◗Development◗◗ Indigenous◗Peoples.

ImpartialityThe◗ICIM◗Project◗Ombudsperson◗facilitates◗an◗impartial◗dialogue◗between◗the◗stakeholders◗and◗the◗IDB◗in◗search◗of◗consensual◗solutions.◗The◗ICIM◗Compliance◗Review◗Panel◗is◗a◗neutral◗fact-finding◗body◗that◗assesses◗adherence◗to◗IDB◗Operational◗Policies.
