A Living Vision...

I had a vision. After an intensive 2-year

preparation period, of purification and sweat

lodge, with a group of dedicated West Coast Elders

and fellow Journeyers, my mystical vision quest

experience began.

It was on the third day of being in the beautiful

West Coast forest of British Columbia, Canada,

making friends with the local mosquitoes and

adjusting to a den of coyotes nearby supplying an

on-going chorus of howling, that my vision came.

It was mid-day in the forest and the sun was

shining brightly through the trees. The sun

suddenly became black and my first thought was

“I don’t remember anyone talking about a

complete solar eclipse happening during this

Journey.”

Slowly beginning to sense the dream-like quality

of my surroundings, I realized that I had entered

into the mystical world of vision.

From out of the black sun a small black speck

emerged – as it started to come towards me, it

formed wings and became bigger and bigger, until

it was a giant black raven approaching, carrying a

message from the black void of the Mother. The

raven shifted shape to a great eagle shrouded in a

brilliant, shimmering golden light. In the

dreamtime of the vision world, it appeared to be

bigger than the earth itself.

In an instant, the eagle exploded into an

unforgettable vision of a joyous new world. The

black sun had reappeared and become a giant

plasma screen that

I was seeing from a distance, with scenes

of different cultures singing, dancing and

playing music all over the planet. There

were laughing children, and the earth

was rich and green, and the oceans were

crystal clear blue, and the wildlife was

teaming and thriving all over the planet.

We were one global family, living in

harmony with each other and our planet.

Living Vision Retreat

I was being down-loaded with information at light speed

and yet, at the same time, it seems as if everything stood

still. I have no idea how long I was in vision and just

remembered suddenly being back in the forest, sitting

alone in my sacred circle.

Later that day our Vision Quest Elder came for us and we

all entered into the sweat lodge to share our experiences

and to be cleansed and blessed in sacred ceremony.

During sacred ceremony an Elder shared a story of how

once, a Native Elder, lovingly referred to as “Uncle”, had

gone on a Vision Quest with some younger men from his

community. Within days the younger men had all come

back with their Visions.Meanwhile, Uncle was still in the

forest waiting for his Vision. A few days went by and some

of the young men went out to talk with Uncle, to be sure

he was alright. He said he was fine and refused to return as

he had not yet had his Vision.

Another day later, the young men, concerned for Uncle,

called in a Shaman to speak with him. The Shaman found

Uncle and quietly sat down beside him. After the passing

of some time the Shaman asked Uncle, “How come you

are still here, Uncle?” To which Uncle replied “I haven’t

had my Vision yet.” The Shaman smiled and said “That is

because you are living your Vision, Uncle”.

Recognizing the wisdom of this truth after years of walking

the good red path, it was then that Uncle got up and went

back to the community. It was then, during this story,

feeling very blessed and grateful by the presence and

wisdom of these humble and spiritual people, that the

realization came to me that when each one of us are living

our own personal Vision in this world, being the full

authentic expression of Spirit while here, uniquely different

yet collectively one, only then would this Vision of a new

world become a reality.

Dr. Bruce Lipton, developmental biologist, has developed

a theory around the purpose of the self-receptors around

the membrane of each cell that make us unique; they are

“receivers of self” that give us an “identity” by reading the

external environment signal that is unique to each person.

This “identity” and the body are two different things. If the

self-receptors are transferred to another, so is the identity –

the memory isn’t in the cell, it is in the field of the energy

of the cell, the membrane’s self receptors. The point of this

existence is to take environmental information we can

understand and “experience” this world, sense the world,

create the world. Our opportunity is to create Heaven on

Earth, here and now. If it looks like hell, it is because you

are buying others’ creations and they won’t fit your vision

of Heaven on Earth. You can create anything you want on

this planet.

Bruce Lipton explains that each of us is just one narrow

frequency of the whole white light that is made up of all

colors. The white light is here when all the frequencies are

put together – if you remove a single, solitary frequency in

the white light, you do not have white light. The white light

coming to this planet is “forgiving” and letting go and

starting with a blank page and saying “What do you want

from now on?” Every day, wake up in awe at being on this

planet, as we are all part of this white light and Heaven is

available to us all right now.

Practical MysticismAs Eckhart Tolle speaks of in his book “A New Earth –

Awakening to Your Life’s Purpose” the foundation for a new

Earth is a new Heaven, the awakened consciousness. The

Earth - external reality – is only its outer reflection. So the

new Heaven, the awakened consciousness, is not a future

state to be achieved, a new Heaven and a new Earth are

arising in you at this moment.My Vision Quest experience

inspired the creation of what became known as Living

Vision – my Heaven on Earth. A gathering of artists, healers

and visionaries who inspire and en-courage us to reach

into our deepest essence for the beauty of our soul work,

and source that mystical place of vision and possibility that

is within each and every one of us. We do this through the

collective energy, and the power of music, song, dance,

sacred ritual and the healing arts – we sing, we dance, we

laugh, we love, we cry - we LIVE IN VISION together!

Over the years, I, my wife Kathie, and the Living Vision

community have had the joy and honor of witnessing the

transformation, heart and soul, of each one of us who have

been willing and courageous enough to open our hearts, to

spread our wings and to fly with the authentic expression

of who we truly are as we, all together, transform this

planet into the new Heaven on Earth.

I will be sharing on-going practical mysticism for everyday

living here at Science to Sage – demystifying the mystical

teachings, introducing new scientific transcendence

technologies and interviewing modern day mystics. We

are, all of us, modern day mystics who need to only look

within to experience that truth and how intimately we are

connected to the Source of Universal Intelligence. I look

forward to hearing from you and sharing this journey of

transformation through practical mysticism for the everyday

mystic.
