Infrastructure Systems Architect providing expertise and guidance within the EA initiative and roadmap creation.
Cost Savings in lowering datacenter footprint, power consumption and consolidation in implementation of HP Blade Technology, HP EVA Fibre SAN, TSM Tape Backup. This included forecasting and sizing of HW/SF and Storage requirements in both a tactical and strategic approach.
Cost savings of Operating Expenses in Data Center centralization. Involved in cross group effort of Data Center moves towards realization of centralized and consolidated Enterprise Data Center. Team was involved in Systems move planning, re-engineering where required and spearheading test script creation and post move testing.
Successful continued DR maturity, development and testing. Successfully met the annual compliance requirement of DR testing by performing a full data center failover and failback.
Cost savings by implementing virtual server / VMWare Strategies for Development and Production environments. High Availability/ Clustered ESX implementation.
Successful Infrastructure architecture and engineering delivery for numerous Application projects. These included Financial, LOB and Productivity applications including Trading, Portfolio Management and Commercial Real Estate solutions.
Successful implementation, ROI and email retention compliance via the delivery of the E-Vault Email Archiving solution. Though the use of archiving on FATA disk and an easier mechanism for managing older email a successful cost savings was achieved in both support and storage requirements.
Successful Active Directory Architecture, Integration and Migration for 3 separate projects. Brookfield Properties and Brookfield Asset Management Trizec and Brookfield Properties BF Redding and Brookfield Asset Management
Key Achievements
Successful Architecture and Engineering of the Brookfield Properties Enterprise Citrix environment from PS 4.0 and Metaframe XPE to PS 4.5. Farm consisted of 3 Zones, 45 Severs across three locations.
Introduced and architected MSFT MOM to proactively monitor server health. Custom rules were created and monitoring and alerting were transitioned to Operations Group
Introduced and architected MSFT SMS. Immediate ROI and TCO were realized in automated software pushes, inventory reporting queries and desktop standardization. MSFT SCCM was also Architected and implemented into the BAM environment as part of the BAM to BPO integration project.
Worked closely with a partner in the BPO Notes to Exchange migration. This included involvement in architecture, design and planning decision and QA reviews. Key coordination involvement in mailbox migrations at the same time as Trizec’s user objects migrations as well as pilot and rollout.
Architected and implemented MOSS 2007 Infrastructure. This was the framework for Citrix Application delivery using WISP via the new Intranet Portal. This project also laid the foundation for the delivery of document management through SharePoint.
Successful delivery of Outlook 2007 and upgrade of Office 2007 delivered via Citrix and launched through the BPO Intranet Portal
Architecture and Engineering involvement in new remote access technologies via implementation of IAG gateway server and Netscaler load balancing.
New Technology R&D Application Delivery – VDI and Application Streaming Server Provisioning MSFT System Center Solutions Disaster Recovery Security Initiatives
