shell cored stainless steel spares (Refiner Disc, Defibrizer Disc and Dispersor Disc)

for Paper & Pulp Industries. As an expansion the foundry division of the company

Machineries, Textile Testing Instruments, Caters to local industry and also

does Exports of Textile Machinery.

Coimbatore is known for its Motor & Domestic Pump Industries. Most of

the famous brands of Motors & Pumps are being supply all over India and

also being Exported to various countries.

Coimbatore is known for its Cast Iron Foundry which were supplying

Casting for Motor, Pump & Textile Industry by means of Cupola Furnace.

These foundries are known converted to Modern Foundries (with Induction

Furnace). They make high quality Cast Iron & Spheriodal Grey Iron (Nodular

Iron) Castings and now cater to lot of Domestic Automobile Industry as well

as Automobile Industry all over the world.

Coimbatore is also known for its very high quality Steel, Alloy Steel &

Stainless Steel Casings which are being exported to various European

Countries.

Coimbatore is also having lot of Non Ferrous Foundries capable of

making Grades like Phosphor Bronze, Lead Bronze, Gun Metal, Aluminium

Bronze, Aluminium etc.,

Complete facilities for Sand Moulding (Manual) by Sodium Silicate

- Co2 Process (Silica Sand being mixed with Sodium Silicate Oil, the

mixture is being packed on the pattern, Co2 Gas is passed in to the

mould, wherein the mould is formed).

Moulds & core surfaces are being painted using Zircon paint to

get smooth surface finish on the casting.

The top and bottom halfs of the mould are closed after doing the

necessary preparations. The closing is done either manually or using

Cranes.

The top and bottom half of the mould after closing are clamped

together in case of box mould or suitable weights are placed on the

Melting Shop

Medium frequency 150KW Induction furnace with 200Kgs – 2

Nos, And 300 Kgs – 1 No, Crucibles.

A total liquid molten metal of 600 kgs can be tapped from the

Furnace. A good casting weight of 350 Kgs per single piece can be

achieved. A minimum weight of 3 Kgs per single piece is feasible for

us.

Selected raw material are charged in to the Furnace. Metal is

melted to the required level.

A bath sample is taken out from the Furnace, checked for

chemical composition with the help of Spectrometer, required

additions of the alloys are made as per the required customer grade.

Again a final sample is taken out from the Furnace and checked

for correctiveness of chemical composition.

The Furnace metal is heated to the required temperature, the

temperature is checked using Pyrometer.

The prepared molten metal is poured in to the closed moulds

using preheated ladles either manually or using cranes.

Floor Area

An Organised and Closed Floor Area of 7000 Sq. ft. for Melting,

Moulding & Fettling shop equipped with 3 Tons EOT Crane.

Fettling Shop

Equipped with, pencil hand grinders to Heavy Swing frame

grinders, and facilities for upgradation of castings with air arc Gouging

and Shot Blasting, Acid pickling, Passivation facilities.

Welders are Qualified as per ASME/EN Standards, under third

parties like M/s. TUV.

Castings Under Fettling

Heat Treatment

Heat Treatment is done using Electric furnace. Capacity 500 Kgs –

1 No & 3 tons – 1 No.

Maximum operating temperature 1200C with arrangements for

automatic multipoint temperature recording of Various Zones of each

furnace. The heat treatment cycle is controlled automatically by

Thyrister controlled panel.

Furnace is calibrated to API-6A Appendix-H under Third party

Inspection agency M/s.TUV NORD.

Heat treatment process like Normalizing, Annealing, Water

Quench Hardening, Tempering, Stress Relieving & Solution Annealing

can be done in house.

Heat Treatment Process like Oil Quench Hardening using Sealed

Furnace (GCF), Salt Bath Quenching, Nitriding, Blackening etc., are

being outsourced.

Other surface treatment process like Phosphating, Nickel Chrome

Plating etc., can be outsourced.
