About Jeff Marine
The CEO and President of apparel manufacturers JEM Sportswear and Awake, Inc., Jeff Marine contributes many of his free hours to the community. In 2004, he was named Man of the Year by the Fashion Industries Guild in conjunction with Cedars-Sinai Medical Center.
About the Fashion Industries Guild
In the mid-20th century, fashion professionals of all kinds came together to form a charitable organization. Known as the Fashion Industries Guild, the organization endeavors to raise funds for Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, a nationally renowned hospital in Los Angeles, California. The organization has sourced more than $22 million for the hospital's projects, including facilities improvements and programming. These include the Kenny Weinbaum Fashion Industries Guild Pediatric Acute Care Unit, the Ruth Bregman Children's Health Clinic, and the Ruth Bregman Pediatric AIDS Outpatient Clinic.
About the Fashion Industries Guild
The guild also funded the building of the hospital's neonatal intensive care wing, which has provided life-saving services to countless infants. Most important, these facilities supported the survival of two children born more than three months prematurely. Once weighing less than two pounds each, they have grown into happy, healthy children.
