Church Street Art & Craft Show Downtown Waynesville Association P.O. Box 1409 Waynesville, NC 28786 Held during the height of the color season in the Great Smoky Mountains, the Church Street Art & Craft Show attracts more than 20,000 visitors. Over 125 artists, crafters and food vendors from throughout the south- east will line Waynesville's Historic Main Street to help celebrate the festival. What began as a small gathering of artists and craftsmen has evolved into a high quality, well-balanced, juried show now widely known as one of the finest in the re- gion. Downtown Waynesville's picturesque Main Street is closed to vehicular traffic the day of the show, transforming it into an art and craft marketplace. Local musicians and dancers perform, adding to the festive atmosphere and the mountains provide a dramatic backdrop. Founded in 1983 by artist Teresa Pennington and Richard Miller, the Church Street Art & Craft Show is now sponsored by the Downtown Waynesville Association. 6. The following will not be allowed: Imported goods, pre-molded ceramics, crochet items, 2nd hand items, sea shell crafts, pre-molded pecan shell figurines, items purchased and put together, i.e., commercial beads strung for jewelry, silk florals in any form.

7. Submission of a commitment form is a contract to show and an agreement to abide by the rules set forth. Set-up procedures, including space assignments, will be mailed in September.

8. Show directors reserve the right to refuse admittance to the show to any artist whose work is deemed offensive or of questionable taste and reserve the right to remove any artist violating the guidelines.

Art & Craft Show Rules: 1. ONLY original works and works juried and approved in the application may be displayed and sold.

2. All items must be designed and created by the artist, who must also be present in booth.

3. Each exhibitor must provide his/her own display. Spaces may not be shared. Canopies are required. 10 x 10 Maximum. Tent weights required.

4. Booth fee is non-refundable once accepted. There is no rain date and no refund in case of rain. Show is rain or shine.

5. Each exhibitor is responsible for collecting and reporting N.C. 7% sales tax. Remit to: Sales & Use Tax Division, North Carolina Department of Revenue PO Box 25000, Raleigh, NC 27640

No application will be considered without these items: 1) Application form, completed and signed 2) Two checks: 1 for Entry Fee and 1 for Booth fee payable to the Downtown Waynesville Association

3) Five Professional Quality Images (4 of work, 1 of display). Images can be slides, photos or digital images on CD.

4) Self addressed stamped envelope with correct postage (if you want images returned). If your SASE does not have enough postage it will not be returned.

Deadline for application is August 1, 2020.Notification of acceptance will be made via email if provided within 3 weeks upon receipt of application.

I understand that all decisions of the Church StreetArt & Craft Show jury and the Downtown Waynesville Association (DWA) are final and I agree to be boundby and comply with all show rules and regulations. I understand that if I violate any show rules or regula-tions, or I misrepresent my work, the DWA can termi-nate my participation without refund and I may be excluded from future DWA events. I understand that it is my responsibility to pay all NC State taxes. I release the Town of Waynesville, DWA Board of Directors, staff, volunteers, any show representatives and sponsors from any responsibility for theft, damage, loss or injury.
