ABOUT THE INSTITUTE

The Erode Sengunthar Engineering

College was started in the year 1996 by the Erode

Sengunthar Educational Trust with the sole aim

of the upliftment of rural and urban youth. The

college offers seven under-graduate programmes

in various branches of Engineering like Chemical

Engineering, Civil, Mechanical, Electrical and

Electronics, Electronics and Communication,

Electronics and Instrumentation, Computer

Science and also five Postgraduate Programmes

in Engineering, MCA and MBA. All UG

programmes are accredited by NBA and the

college is Accredited by NAAC & IE(I) and an

ISO 9001:2008 Certified Institution. It has sound

infrastructure, complete and full-fledged, in all

aspects. The college is very near the ‘Tex cities’

Coimbatore and Erode which are well-connected

by bus routes and the nearest airport is at

Coimbatore.

ABOUT CHEMICAL ENGG. DEPARTMENT

The Department of Chemical Engineering was

started in the year 1996 and has been providing

full time B.Tech. Degree course in Chemical

Engineering and accredited by National Board of

Accreditation. It has all the facilities with well-

equipped laboratories and department library. The

faculty are well-qualified and are in constant

pursuit of learning recent developments in their

respective fields. The Chemical Engineering

department has received grant from various

funding agencies like AICTE, MoES and

TNSCST etc. for various research and

development activities. The students of the

department are also being involved in various

research activities and fetched various awards

and honours from various agencies like TNSCST,

IE(I),ISTE, FAER, etc.

ABOUT THE PROGRAMME

The global carbon-di-oxide sequestration is the urgent

need to protect the atmosphere and avoid global

warming and hence prevent climatic changes. The

green house emissions as a result of the fossil fuels for

energy requirements lead to atmospheric pollutions.

The revolutionary method of carbon-di-oxide

sequestration can benefit the society and agriculture

sector which in turn will improve the economy in the

world. CO2 emissions to air from point sources can be

controlled by capturing CO2 as high pressure fluid and

shipped to places where they are injected into pure

space at depths below portable waters. Advanced future

studies needed for technology development for recycle

and reuse from energy installations are included in the

deliberations. This seminar provides an opportunity to

discuss about the possible use of the various innovative

green technologies and advanced methods will certainly

help the society and the world in the era of new product

development with the minimum impact on atmosphere.

This program will prove to be beneficial for scientists,

faculty, authors, researchers, strategists and other

professionals in the field of Engineering and

Technology.

For PG & Research Scholars : Rs. 200

For Students (Polytechnic & UG- Engg.) : Rs. 100

The DD/Cheque may be drawn in favour of “The

payable at Perundurai.

As seats are limited, early registration is recommended.

The participants are requested to make their own

arrangement for accommodation. No Transport

Allowances are applicable for the participants.
