ABOUT THE NIJC HUMAN RIGHTS AWARDS
For the past two decades, the National Immigrant Justice Center (NIJC) Human Rights Awards luncheon has honored human rights champions and business, civic, and community leaders. The event draws 1,000+ attendees and provides critical funding for NIJC. For the safety and wellbeing of our communities during the COVID-19 pandemic, NIJC will present this event virtually to a global audience for the first time ever. Over the past 30 years, with support from thousands of pro bono attorneys, NIJC has provided legal services to countless thousands of individuals and their families, and has achieved systemic reforms through impact litigation and policy advocacy. Visit immigrantjustice.org/HumanRightsAwards.

• Help sustain valuable pro bono opportunities that offer a range of courtroom and transactional experience.
• Obtain wide visibility for your organization before a global audience and on NIJC’s website, social media, and invitation, according to the level of support.
Please see our available sponsorship opportunities on page three. To confirm your sponsorship for 2020 and for more info, contact Mayon Yen at 312-660-1653 or [email protected].

KEYNOTE SPEAKER & JEANNE AND JOSEPH SULLIVAN AWARD RECIPIENT
AARTI SHAHANI is one of the most eclectic journalists you’ll ever meet. Before becoming NPR’s Silicon Valley correspondent, she was a community organizer in her native New York City, working with immigrants being deported. “I spent my 20s with prisoners, and my 30s with startup founders,” she says. “I like intense people, from all walks of life.” Her heart-wrenching and critically acclaimed memoir, Here We Are: American Dreams, American Nightmares, chronicles her unlikely journey.
