Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham (University), managed by the

Mata Amritanandamayi Math with Sadhguru Mata

Amritanandamayi Devi (AMMA) as the Chancellor, was

conferred the “University” status as per “section 3 of UGC Act,

1956” by the government of India in 2003 and the first to have a

multi-disciplinary, multi-campus status set up, at the outset.

With headquarters at Coimbatore and campuses at

Amritapuri, Kochi, Bengaluru and Mysore, Amrita University

is emerging as one of the fastest growing institutions of higher

learning in the country. The University offers undergraduate,

post graduate and doctoral programmes in Engineering,

Business, Medicine, Dentistry, Biotechnology, Arts and Science

etc. The University has been accredited by National Assessment

and Accreditation Council (NAAC) with an 'A' grade, based on

evaluation of all campuses and programmes by a peer review

committee.

Amrita School of Engineering (ASE), Bengaluru is one of the

three engineering schools under Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham.

The school offers B.Tech. programmes in five branches,

M.Tech. in six disciplines and Ph.D. in Engineering and

Sciences. The campus is situated in the vibrant environment of

Bengaluru closely linked to industrial hub. The sprawling

campus of the institute is located just off the fully developed

area of koramangala, HSR Layout and Sarjapura Road,

about 14 Km from Vidhana Soudha. The school prepares

engineering graduates with a right attitude and positive

mindset combined with high degree of ethical values.

The department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering

(EEE) was established during the year 2004. The department

offers a four year B.Tech. degree course in EEE, a two year

M.Tech. course in Power Electronics and Ph.D. programmes.

The department is equipped with excellent infrastructure,

laboratories and research facilities. The department has well

qualified, experienced and dedicated faculty to impart

fundamental and applied knowledge in Electrical, Power

Systems, Power Electronics, Electrical Machines, Control

Engineering, VLSI, Embedded Technologies etc. The

department has a research lab in Power Quality funded by

SERC-DST, MHRD, Government of India. In addition to

research, the faculty members also interact with industries in

curriculum development. The department offers several student

development programmes for improving their knowledge and

skills.

The workshop on Embedded System Control for Power

Electronic Applications will focus on understanding the basics

of FPGA technology, its features, VHDL coding and

development tools highlighting their Power & Control

applications.

The hands-on sessions will provide an ideal platform for

developing diverse set of applications using FPGA boards and

tools.

We solicit participation of Research Scholars and students

from all the circuit branches.
