MOVIE NIGHT,

February 16, 2019

5:30 p.m., Fellowship

Hall

Remy dreams of becoming a

great chef, despite being a rat

in a definitely rodent-phobic

profession. He moves to Paris

to follow his dream, and with

the help of a hapless garbage

boy, Linguini, he puts his

culinary skills to the test in

the kitchen but he has to stay

in hiding at the same time,

with hilarious consequences.

Remy eventually gets the

chance to prove his culinary

abilities to a great food critic

but is the food good? A Pixar

animation.

Our personal chef, Ryan, will

be making Ratatouille for us.

See you there! This event is

open to anyone and is free.

The Worship Committee meets this month on February 3, at about noon in the parlor. Led by Carla Yost, Chair, commission members are Lee, Nick and Peg, Judy, Bev, and Carole. We’re always excited to add new people to our team so join us anytime! For 2019 we’ll be taking a look at the worship schedule and exploring new ideas, including additional music opportunities. We’re planning a joint worship service with Napa Methodist, and a possible Friday evening service with Beth Shalom. Another exciting possibility coming up may be a special music presentation by Christian Singer, Matt Black! Stay tuned for more info. Lent is right around the corner so we’ll be planning soon. Sunday Greeters are now signed up through the Worship Commission so if you can shake a hand or give a hug at the door, please see Carla. Happy Valentine’s Day! Spread the love. ~Carla

Book Club will meet on

Monday, February 25, at

7 pm in the parlor. We’ll

be discussing The

Butterfly’s Daughter by

Mary Alice Monroe.

Life Long Learning

Faith Journeys contine for the month of February. Join us after

church in the sanctuary to hear the stories and get to know each

other better. Moderated by Liz, the Faith Journey schedule is:

February 3—Mary

February 10—Rev. Jesse Larson

February 17—Norm

Sunday school is doing a gently used, clean and comfy, clothing

and shoes drive. If you have children’s clothes (or

grandchildren’s) feel free to bring a bag of items to donate and

Sally will graciously deliver the items to Church Women United.

Remember last year Sunday school kids served soup and charged

$1.00 a bowl? SOUPER BOWL SUNDAY will be celebrated on

March 3, 2019. We’ll repeat last year’s successful event with our

children serving soup and bread. Join us! All proceeds will go to a

local mission project.
