MIKROPAKK is a Hungarian producer of closures and packaging systems
made by plastic injec tion moulding and injection blow moulding. Being in operation for over 25 years, we
are a well-established family-owned company. MIKROPAKK SILVER, our state-of-the-art facility in Budapest,
currently boasts a team of over 170 employees, producing more than 200 million parts annually.
MIKROPAKK BLACK is our second facility located in Northern Hungary. With a headcount close to 60
employees, this production unit manufactures more than 800 million injection moulded plastic parts per year. We develop and produce under ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 14001:2015 regula tions.
Our philosophy is based on a duo core. Why? Because our expertise in mould design and plastics processing
provides a flexible and secure background for producing brand new innovative solutions as well
as for supplying high quality technical precision parts in the scope of contract manufacturing.
MIKROPAKK’s product range is continually expanding through in-house developments and the ongoing
improvement of product in close collaboration with customers, resulting in a steady growth of our enterprise.

Our R&D activity is firmly rooted in 20 years of experience in tool design and injection moulding. We strive
to provide feasible and cost-effective solutions for specific customers’ requirements and
actual problems.
Launched in 2006, our R&D department employs six engineers under the supervision of the
company’s owner and managing director. In the last years we have completed several product development
projects. The results of these projects have been successfully introduced on the market and are now
supplied to our customers on a regular basis, producing 70% of our revenues.
A significant aspect of our R&D activity is the development of PU foam packaging. Our product family MIKA,
created to meet the challenges this area presents, won the Hungarian Prize for Innovation on 2012.
We are presently working on several development projects for the food, pharmaceutical, medical and
hygienic sectors, some of which are just before market implementation. There are several patents in our
property, Hungarian and international as well. We spend 11% of our revenues on research and development.

TOOLING SHOPHigh-quality injection moulding is impossible without high-quality moulds, and their regular and adequate
maintenance. In our in-house tooling-shop we design and develop moulds with the aid of CAD /
CAM softwares including PTC Creo, ToolDesign, SolidWorks and PowerMill, PowerShape. Equipped with the
most up-to-date machinery such as wire and block erosion machines, CNC-controlled millers, laser welding
equipment, start hole driller, we produce approximately 30 moulds a year, ranging from
conventional and simpler ones to complex moulds with hot runner systems.
Continuously handling several hundred injection moulds in our own or in our customers’ property calls for
complete production safety. Regular maintenance keeps all moulds in excellent working condition,
and any trouble occurring during production can be promptly solved by our in-house tooling shop.

Aiming at the highest possible efficiency, both moulding shops are highly automated, with an integrated ERP system overseeing the central material supply systems, grinders, driers, robots and manipulators.
Clamping force ranging from 6 to 500 T. Apart from common materials such as PE and PP, we
regularly work with more specific technical materials, for example ABS, PC, PPS, POM, PA, COC.
Two factories – two profiles: while MIKROPAKK BLACK does the mass production, MIKROPAKK SILVER
specializes in the production of more demanding precision parts and the management of complete R&D
projects with numerous pilot runs and experimentation.
Working with cutting-edge technology – we are proud of the average age of our injection moulding
machines being under 6.

Beyond mere injection moulding we offer you the mounting or assembly of your products, whether by hand,
or more often, with automated equipment. Currently there are more than 30 automated assembly lines in operation in our factories, performing the necessary post-production work to our products for
the food, pharmaceutical and construction industries. All of these are individually designed for specific purposes, some by our own automation department. Such equipment can
increase the efficiency enormously, such as our valve assembly line which increased the number of valves
assembled per month from 120.000 to 2 million, integrating 7 components and performing
in-line control to eliminate defects.
In two assembly halls in two production sites, we perform this activity on 1200 m2, including in-line and
post-production, manual and automated assembly.
ASSEMBLY AND IN-HOUSE AUTOMATION
PRECISION PARTSFOR THE ELECTRIC / ELECTRONICAND AUTOMOTIVESEGMENTSRelying on our technical know-how and utilizing our state-of-the-art machinery, when we say precision
parts – we mean precision in all respects.
On the basis of framework agreements, we continually deliver reliable, cost-effective plastic articles and parts of the highest quality to our customers in the electric/ electronic and
automotive segments.
Along with traditional injection moulding we employ insert technology as well. All parts are
removed by robots, many of them require in-line camera control for quality. These parts
and component demand mostly manual assembly, depending on the customers’ request.
CLOSURES AND PACKAGING SOLUTIONS FOR THE PHARMACEUTCAL INDUSTRY, R&D SOLUTIONS IN THE FIELD OF MEDICAL AND HYGIENIC
MIKROPAKK’s product range includes a series of standard, tamper-evident if requested, screw lids
with inner sealing ring and different droppers, nozzles, active or inactive hinges, along with snap-on closures or screw caps and various designs that are specially made for the pharmaceutical industry.
We also produce plastic vials and containers of up to 150 ml volume by injection blow moulding.
In addition to our standard product line, we continue to develop new special caps, closures and complete packaging systems for various applications.
We have recently started to use COC to produce small containers as part of an innovative solution for the
pharmaceutical industry.
Ozone pretreatment of the surface and tampo printing for pharma in more than 10 languages.
For stricter requirements often presented by pharmaceutical companies, we are able to provide clean-room production in our Budapest headquarters.
MIKROPAKK is well experienced in supporting the medical field in their technical problems and the
realization of their idea and development included in artificial tooth implant, eye-lentil applicator eye-lentil
applicator and hygienic solutions for ladies.
CLOSURESAND PACKAGING SOLUTIONSFORTHE FOODINDUSTRY
In this segment we are primarily present with caps for
viscose materials like ketchup, mayonnaise and mustard.
Next to we deliver for dessert sause application as well.
We have developed several generations of these closures,
some in close collaboration with the customers. Also we
are experienced in the mass production of cappuccino
capsules.
One of our innovations, called MikaTech Startech anti-drop valve has been developed for this
segment.
All processes from product design through mould
planning and manufacturing to injection moulding and
post-production steps take place in our company.
Upon request, we are ready to work out the design of
a bottle that suits and fits the closure.
Beyond the closures MIKROPAKK has several
developments in the food industry. The mass production
of these products is supported by manufacturing
according to BrC standard introduced for the entire
area of MIKROPAKK BLACK in 2016.

CLOSURES AND PACKAGING SOLUTIONS FOR THE COSMETICS AND HOUSEHOLD INDUSTRYOur international presence in this segment is also significant thanks to the mass production of lavoratory baskets for
hygiene freshness and other closures of well-known cosmetic and household chemical products.
In-house automatization of the manufacturing makes our processes more efficient to meet our clients’ expectations.
One of the main areas of our R&D activities, with
expanding product families is on the market for years.
One such innovation is the roof structure support clip which our R&D team enhanced and
made a better insulator – these parts are being supplied
to various building sites from Brazil to Singapore, you can
spot them wherever there is a major construction.
We also offer complete solutions for the innovative
packaging of PU-foam. This product line is the MIKA family comprising an enhanced valve, several types
of advanced 2K system inside the can, and various grip
and pistol adapters. The MIKA 2K membrane system won the Hungarian Prize for Innovation for MIKROPAKK in 2012.These solutions may be taken advantage of in any other
areas and applications wherever two-component systems
are in use.
From the idea to the product: as many developments
come from an idea, we think important to be there
when the idea is born. This was also the case with the
development of a new gas bottle handle.

The ISO 9001:2015 quality management system has been
in effect in MIKROPAKK since 1998. Our processes are
continuously monitored and developed. If needed, we
adopt components of other auditing systems in order
to meet the requirements of our customers, whether
from the food or pharmaceutical industry. Similarly, our
operations comply with the regulations of the ISO/TS
standards without actually being certified.
The constant quality of our injection moulding and
assembly departments is ensured by in-line and in-shift quality control devices and procedures according to ISO standards and specific
customers’ expectations. However, the wide range of
products and our development projects made it necessary
