Seeing God’s Promise

Think about things you see at home, at church, or in creation that are signs of

God’s love. Write or draw each one on a sticky note. Put them in

different rooms in your home as reminders

that God’s love for us will never end.

Abraham’s

Big Family

Take pictures of family, friends,

neighbors, and church members.

Cut out a large heart from poster

board and fill it with the

pictures. Display the heart in

your home as a reminder

that we are all part of

Abraham’s family.

Hoping for a BabyAbraham and Sarah were childless for

most of their life. God promised that

they would have a family. Some

people are hoping for a child but do not yet have one.

How could your family support these people?

Saying prayers for them is a great place to start.

Promise KeeperUse glow-in-the-dark markers or crayons

to write “God keeps promises” on index

cards. Put one in your bedroom to

read each night before you go to

sleep. Make extra cards and mail them as postcards to family or friends who live

farther away.

Stargazing

Go outside to gaze at stars on a clear

night, or do it from your home using a

virtual online planetarium.

Count as many stars as

you can. Take turns naming

different shapes you can

make by connecting them.

Twinkle Remix

Sing “Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star” together. Using the same melody,

create a new version to tell today’s story. Share your song with friends to tell them about God’s covenant with Abraham.

Bouquet of StarsTrace star shapes on yellow paper, cut them out, and decorate them with

glitter. Attach a chopstick to the back of each one for a stem.
