ABRAHAM JUSTIFIED BY FAITH
Romans 4:1-25
ABRAHAM WAS MADE RIGHT WITH GOD BASED ON HIS FAITH ON A PROMISE AND NOT ON KEEPING THE LAW (vs. 13-25)
Salvation for Abraham was based on a promise. He would be heir of the world. The promise will be guaranteed to all the descendants of Abraham.
No longer will you be called Abram; your name will be Abraham, for I have made you a father of many nations. I will make you very fruitful; I will make nations of you, and kings will come from you (Gen 17:4-7).
ABRAHAM: Father of Multitude
Abraham was 99 years old and had no children but he believed on the promise. Abraham believed against all hope.
Abraham never wavered in believing God’s promise.
Righteousness was imputed to him because he trusted in the revealed promises of God.
Abraham’s faith did not weaken.
APPLICATION OF ABRAHAM'S FAITH TO US
And when God counted him as righteous, it wasn’t just for Abraham’s benefit. It was recorded 24 for our benefit; too, assuring us that God will also count us as righteous if we believe in him, the one who raised Jesus our Lord from the dead. 25 He was handed over to die because of our sins, and he was raised to life to make us right with God. Romans 4:23-25
The very one who was delivered over, crucified because of our transgressions and raised because of our justification.

DELIVERANCE FROM THE WRATH OF GOD
Rabbinic Principle: “Having Done This, How Much More, Then.”
If God did the more difficult thing of justifying sinners, how much more, then,
can he save or deliver them through Christ from the future wrath
vs9-10
So now we can REJOICE in our wonderful new relationship with God because our Lord Jesus Christ has made us friends of God. Romans 5:11
If there is one thing, one emotion,
one attitude, one disposition that
should dominate the life of a Christian,
IT IS JOY.
We REJOICE in God through our Lord Jesus
Christ because all of them have come to us through this unearned,
undeserved RECONCILIATION.
PEACE WITH GOD: Takes care of the past. ! Deliverance From The Wrath Of God ! Reconciliation
ACCESS TO GOD: Takes care of the present. ! Assurance Of God’s Love ! Rejoice In Sufferings
