Abstract
This study attempts to evaluate the study plan and the teaching techniques
in accounting department at Al al-Bayt University and their consistency with
the philosophy of the university, and the needs of the new era. This is done
through answering questions such as the telationship between the courses and
the philosophy of the university?, What are the skills and qualifications that
acquired by the student in the department during the student's study?, and
what are the shortages in this plan?. Context and descriptive statistical
analysis are used. A questionnaire was developed and distributed for all
students who are expected to graduate during the academic year 2004/2005.
Total of (60) suitable questionnaires for analysis were collected out of (85)
questionnaire distributed.

The study concluded that there is a need to review teaching plan and the
techniques to be in accordance with the philosophy of the university and the
needs of the era. The study presented many recommendations; one of them is
to review the plan, and introduce electronic teaching techniques.
