THE CLEVELAND ORCHESTRA In January, soprano Measha Brueggergosman, who dazzled audiences at the Center’s inaugural concert, returns for Wagner’s Wesendonck Songs, conducted by Music Director Franz Welser-Möst. Shostakovich’s “Leningrad” Symphony, commemorating the epic siege of the city during WWII, brings the program to a powerful conclusion. TCO’s third year of its Adrienne Arsht Center residency continues in March and April with two more concerts.

CONCERT ASSOCIATION OF FLORIDA From October to April, The Kirov Orchestra, José Feliciano, Paul Taylor Dance Company, zarzuela concerts, Wynton Marsalis, Mariza, Mark O’Connor, New York Philharmonic and more make up CAF’s most diverse lineup in its 40-year history. It’s a festival of the musical arts across the entire season.

FLORIDA GRAND OPERA Madama Butterfl y, The Marriage of Figaro, and Lakme are all part of FGO’s 68th season, running November through May. But the season starts with a new production of La traviata, with its score full of opera’s greatest hits. Then it’s the once-upon- a-time charm of La Cenerentola (Cinderella), complete with dazzling music, fairy-tale sets, and happily-ever-after, prince-gets-maid ending. MIAMI CITY BALLET The spectacular Nutcracker returns to the Ziff Ballet Opera House in December! And there’s lots more to see in the company’s 23rd season, stretching from October through April. Program I pairs two Balanchines with Twyla Tharp’s contemporary masterpiece, In The Upper Room. Then MCB returns right after the holidays with the company premiere of Paul Taylor’s Mercuric Tidings and revivals by Villella and Balanchine.
