ACA is committ ed to glorifying God by discipling students in a loving community that pursues excellence
as we partner with parents in Christian education.
We serve an amazing God! Over the course of the past year we have seen Him accomplish great things at ACA. We began the year with over 170 new students and more than 25 new staff members who all joined us on this journey to further Christian education. Our mission was clear and our team was excited and focused on accomplishing it to the fullest extent possible. One of the questions Jim Rozendal and I asked the staff at the end of the school year was, “How did we do in accomplishing our mission?”
Atlantic Christian Academy is committed to glorifying God
by discipling students in a loving community that pursues excellence as we partner with
parents in Christian education.
We gave ourselves an honest assessment and agreed that it was an exciting and challenging year, and there is still much to be done. Th e elementary school experienced signifi cant growth and added many great new teachers. The middle school added many new students and is poised to add significant growth to the high school. Our high school team also saw the addition of several new teachers, which allowed us to see a continued expansion of our secondary program. In the area of discipleship, the team

under the leadership of Pastor Phillip Harrelson, focused on pursuing Christ at a deeper level through chapels, small groups, retreats, our first mission trip, and various student activities. Th e new academic leadership of Michelle Beatty has enabled us to make progress in curriculum and instruction as we focused on pursuing excellence in secondary academics. Mrs. Beatty has been able to work with middle and high school teachers while developing plans for further growth. ACA is involved in a self-study on continuous improvement as a part of our accreditation process. One area we are very committed to improving is student discipline and discipleship.
We believe that a great deal of progress will be made this next year in all areas, especially with the addition of a new assistant principal for secondary students, Mr. Jarid Fagin. He will be focusing on all student aff airs including discipline, athletics, and extracurricular activities. Mr. Fagin has served as a high school administrator at Calvary Christian Academy in Fort Lauderdale for the past several years. His responsibilities included oversight of the Bible and English departments, as well as student discipline. He has also served as an athletic director at a previous Christian school before moving to South Florida. Mr. Fagin brings a wealth of energy, ideas, and experience to our ACA team, and he is excited to be working alongside Mr. Rozendal, Mrs. Beatty, Mrs.

Davis, Pastor Phillip, Pastor JR, and myself in strengthening our school. Mr. Fagin will be leading the eff ort to implement our new Parent-Student Handbook, which will be distributed before the start of school.
Overall, we have seen continued progress in the spiritual and academic development of the children God has entrusted to us while partnering with parents in Christian education. We are defi nitely on a mission, and we are committed to fulfilling it as a long-term pursuit of the vision that God has given us for Atlantic Christian Academy. We are continuing to add new staff to accommodate our growing school. From the addition of a third kindergarten class to the hiring of new teachers in high school science and English, ACA is well prepared to meet the growing needs of our students. Our instructional curriculum is continuing to be strengthened, and we are excited to be adding support staff for our ESE program. We have also installed a new wireless system for all of our buildings to move our technology plans forward.
Th is past March we were able to secure the purchase of the property to provide a long-term future for Atlantic Christian Academy. Th is will result in signifi cant facility changes in the coming years. Our

new facilities director, Mr. Ryan Toman, will be working with me on the continued improvements to our property. This summers projects will include a new roof for the gym, new air conditioning units throughout campus, new fencing, gates, paving, security cameras, and improvements to our lighting systems. We are also adding classrooms and moving the offi ces to better serve our families.
We are anticipating the enrollment of over 100 new students this next school year, and we encourage your prayers and support this summer as you continue to promote your school with new student referrals and re-enrollment. As you pray for our ACA staff members, know that it is our desire to come alongside you and help your children discover their God-given gift s and talents and become all that God has created them to be! We are moving forward in this exciting journey as we partner together in Christian education! Let’s make sure that as many people as possible are part of what God is going to accomplish this next year!

Una celebración internacional! Th e 5th grade celebrated their annual International Day by representing a
country and sharing information about it to their class. Many students chose
to represent their own countries of origin. Aft er sharing their report and
participating in a parade through the school, they feasted on
foods unique to their country.

A Day inthe Life...
The fourth-grade trip was lled with special times and memories including drinking from The Fountain of Youth, re-enacting and experiencing many moments from Florida’s early
history, visits to “some really cool” museums, pool time at the hotel, amazing food, and a scenic cruise around St. Augustine where dolphins played all around us!

Our Kindergarten Classes recited scripture and performed so beautifully to the delight of their families during the last Elementary chapel of the year. It has been wonderful to see the progress and development of these talented (and smart!) youngsters. We are so proud of them all... welcome to 1st grade! Thank you, Mrs. Maikkula, Mrs. Gill, and Mrs. Walker for helping to train up these children in the way they should go... Proverbs 22:6
The Preschool K4 Graduation program showcased some of
what these wonderful children have learned:
not only did they know their pledges (do you?), sing, and
dance, they displayed their understanding of numbers and solfege.
We also said farewell to Mrs. Hartman for her decades of service in Christian education.
