    Qualifications for each rank: Instructor:

    A master degree (or equivalent teaching &experience).

    Assistant Professor:

    A doctor or terminal degree; Or masters degree and completion of three yearsof college teaching.

    Associate Professor:

    A doctorate or terminal degree;

    Has held the rank of Assistant Professor for atleast four years;

    At least six years of successful college teaching.

    Adjunct Instructor: Part-time non-salaried, non-tenure track facultymembers who are paid for each class they teach. Does not always requires a completed PhD.

    Requires a PhD; Broadly similar to the USA.
