Ms. Prachi Kulkarni from Harbinger was the chief guest for Induction Programme of NBNSSOCS 2015. Director of STES Dr. Sriram Markande, Associate Director of NBNSSOCS Dr. Smita R. 7.3 Quality Improvement Program at NBNSSOCS under SPPU

NBNSSOCS organize Quality Improvement Program on Cloud Computing using Google app

engine conducted by Mr. Bhushan Lokhande, Quick Heal Security Engineer on 8th and 9th January

2016. Total 44 faculties attended Program out of which 10 are outside of SPPU University. Mr. Bhushan

Lokhande cover not only introduction to Cloud Computing but also practical application of cloud using

google app engine. Some students also attended program and get benefited.


7.4 Research FDP at NBNSSOCS

NBNSSOCS organizes research oriented FDP on Data Sampling by Dr. (Mrs.)

Smita R. Chavan on 3rd June 2015. In this FDP, every faculty has given presentation

related to sampling methodology used for their research topic.

14.1: Blood Donation

On 24th

August 2015, NBN Sinhgad School of Computer Studies organized a

“Voluntary Blood Donation Camp” under the guidance of Dr. Mrs. Smita R. Chavan

(Associate Director, NBNSSOCS) for Smt. Kashibai Navale College and Hospital’s

Blood Bank.

14.2 Visit to Apal Ghar

Regarding Social activity NBNSSOCS visits to Apal Ghar dated 17th

January 2016.

Apalaghar is situated in Donje village at pune. This organization works for orphan children as well as

for senior citizen. This NGO is managed by LATE VAIBHAV PHALNIKAR MEMORIAL

FOUNDATION, established in 2001 by Shri Vijay Phalnikar and Mrs. Sadhana Phalnikar in memory

of their only son Vaibhav who died of cancer, started in a small way by providing free ambulance

service for the benefit of economically backward section of the society.

First of all we gifted children some inspirational books that is related to SWAMI

VIVEKANAND and mirror to senior citizens. After the completion of this event we distributed

snacks which were provided by NBN SSOCS. We organized different activities in which children

made crafted items by using a piece of paper which was provided by us. In this activity children

showed their creativity and ideas.


14.3 Donation to NAAM Foundation

All NBNSSOCS students and faculties contributed for donation to NAAM Foundation. The

total amount is rupees 12,000.
