The Economics of Efficiency

ACCC® The World’s Most Efficient High Capacity Transmission Conductor

CTC Global – a privately held corporation headquartered in Irvine,

California – promotes efficiency, increased capacity and improved

reliability of both new and existing transmission systems. CTC Global’s

principal business is the manufacture and sale of the ACCC® core

used in the production of ACCC® conductor. The company also

provides ancillary components such as dead-ends and splices,

and provides engineering, installation and warranty support for all of its products.

All components produced by CTC and its stranding partners are certified to ISO

9001-2008 Standards.

CTC Global produces finished conductor in association with a growing team

of qualified regional stranding partners. ACCC® core is produced, tested and

certified at CTC Global and then stranded with trapezoidal shaped aluminum

by qualified ACCC® conductor licensees who then ship the finished conductor to

customers worldwide.

Increase Capacity without Compromise

The ACCC conductor offers industry-leading capacity and efficiency through any range of operating temperatures compared to any other conductor type of the same diameter and weight. The ACCC conductor’s high strength and low thermal sag provides planners and engineers an efficient means of increasing capacity - and improving efficiency and reliability - without compromising structural integrity or safe ground clearances.

Maximize Efficiency and Returns

Increased capacity and a 30% to 40% reduction in line losses under any load condition improve financial returns year after year over the life of the asset. The ACCC conductor operates cooler than any other overhead conductor under any load condition, delivering more power more efficiently with greater pay back.

Improve Reliability & Compliance

The ACCC conductor’s combination of superior strength, high capacity and low thermal sag make it uniquely suited for addressing issues of reliability and regulatory compliance – providing utilities with an effective and economical solution for thermally constrained lines.

CTC Global Technical Support

CTC Global’s support staff stands ready to provide project development, design, and installation assistance. The ACCC conductor can be analyzed using any commercially available line design program such as PLS CADD™, Sag 10®, or CTC Global’s own Conductor Comparison & Line Optimization Program (CCP™).
