WHY ACCESSIBILITY STANDARDS?

CONCLUDING REMARKS

• Accessibility standards are available, lots

of work still ongoing to improve them

• Implementation and enforcement of such

standards is weak – need to improvestandards is weak – need to improve

• PWDs have the opportunity to take part

in ICT standards development process –

consult CCK and KEBS

• Internship programmes can enhance participation and inclusion

• Special accessibility requirements can be included in standards making process (ITU) – directly or through CCK(ITU) – directly or through CCK

• Accessibility standards ecosystem requires involvement of all stakeholders
