Summary

On August 20, 2018 Brandy Brook Mines Limited collected additional soil samples in the vicinity

to the Miron Cu-Ag-Au Occurrence in Tannahill Twp., Ontario. A total of 15 soil samples (G-80

to G-95 inclusive) were collected by James Chard and Robert Dillman. The samples were

analyzed for a 54 elements by EDTA Cyanide Leach, ICP-MS finish by AGAT Laboratories. Results

were low for most samples. One sample (G-87) showed elevated concentrations of copper,

silver and manganese.

Location, Access

The Miron Cu-Ag-Au Occurrence is located in Tannahill Township in the Harker-Holloway

area of the Larder Lake Mining Division in Ontario (Figure 1). The mineral occurrence is located

in mining claim 529540 on the boundary between cells 32D05J363 and 32D05J364 at UTM

coordinates: Zone 17, 593854mE, 5363948mN (Figure 2).

The Miron Cu-Ag-Au Occurrence accessible via trails and logging roads connecting with

Highway 672. The Roscoe Road, also known as the Magusi River Road, is the largest logging

road in the area and crosses Tannahill Township 1.6 km’s south of the showing. An over-grown

logging road located at 594998mE, 5362285mN, 300 metres west of the 18 km marker on the

Roscoe Road provides ATV access to the Miron Cu-Ag-Au Occurrence. At approximately 2 km

north along this route, a trail has been cut from the logging road west to the Miron trench on

the Magusi River.

Claim Ownership and Logistics

Land Status and Topography

Mining claim 529540 is situated entirely on Crown Land. The property is uninhabited

and there are no buildings, structures or electricity. The closest transmission line is

approximately 5 km’s west of the property.

The Miron Cu-Ag-Au Occurrence occurs in an outcrop located on the east side of the

Magusi River. But most of the property is covered by thick overburden consisting of clay and

till. Outcrop exposure is less than 5%. Most outcrops are found along the Magusi River and in

higher elevations.

With the exception of the river valley, most of the property has gentle topography

ranging 285 to 320 metres above sea level. Many areas of the property are flat or gently sloped.

Some areas of the property have been logged at various times within the last 20 years.

Logged areas are situated marginal to the river valley. Logged areas are overgrown with alders

and small poplar trees. Old-growth areas have been left to act as boundaries between logged

areas and the waterways crossing the property. Trees within old-growth areas include: spruce,

pine, poplar, maple, ash and alders.

Geology

The Miron Cu-Ag-Au occurrence is located in the Harker-Holloway section of the Abitibi

Greenstone Belt. The property is underlain by Archean units of the Blake River assemblage

dated 2704 to 2696 Ma.

Exposed outcrops are rare on the property. Outcrops consist mostly of flow and

pillowed basalts, flow breccia and gabbro. Rock units generally trend east-west or trend

northeast-southwest and dip moderately towards the south and southeast.

The Miron Cu-Ag-Au occurrence is hosted by tholeiitic pillowed basalts of the Upper

Blake River assemblage. The unit strikes approximately 1200 with pillow tops orientated

towards the southwest. The unit is crossed by northeast trending fractures striking roughly 400

and dip 560 southeast. Some of the fractures contain quartz-calcite stringers mineralized with

pyrite and chalcopyrite. The main copper bearing minerals in the Miron occurrence include:

chalcopyrite, chalcocite, malachite, azurite and rare native copper (Figure 4). Chalcopyrite,

pyrite and occasionally magnetite occur mostly in the pillow salvages and with quartz-calcite

stringers which cut across the pillows (Figure 4). The mineralization is believed to be part of a

volcanogenic massive sulphide (VMS) deposit. Late-stage white calcite stringers barren of

sulphides are superimposed over some sections of the occurrence.

History of Exploration

The Miron Cu-Ag-Au occurrence was discovered in 1986, by prospector Ted Miron of

Sudbury, Ontario. A limited amount of overburden stripping was completed and a gold assay of

0.29 oz/ton was reported from a small pit on the east side of the river (MDI32D05NE00039).

In 1987, the gold occurrence was acquired by prospectors: Ivan Gagne and Andre St.

Amant. They proceeded to strip the overburden, power wash the outcrop and blast several

trenches across the outcrop. Five rock samples are reported to have assayed: 0.002 to 1.26

oz/ton gold, 0.11 to 0.41 oz/ton silver and 1.01 to 3.80% copper (Assessment File

32D05NE0036).

In 1988, Gagne and Amant completed an airborne magnetometer and VLF

electromagnetic (EM) survey over their property. The survey was performed by H. Ferderber

Geophysics Ltd. of Val D’Or, Quebec. The survey was flown at a terrain clearance of 300 feet (91

metres) on flight lines spaced 440 feet (135 metres) apart. Navigation of the survey was aided

by video tracing. Two conductive zones were detected by the survey (Assessment File

32D05NE0039).

Between 1988 and 1992, Gagne and St. Amant drilled nine X-Ray holes. Numerous

intersections of chalcopyrite were noted in the drill logs however no assays are reported.

(Assessment Files: 32D05NE0032, 32D05NE0045, 32D05NE9357, 32D05NE9358)

In 1995, Strike Minerals had an option on the Miron occurrence and completed a

mechanized trenching program on the mineralization. Strike reported assay values ranging:

trace to 583 ppb (0.016 oz/ton) gold, trace to 37.0 ppm (1.01 oz/ton) silver, 287 to 87,100 ppm

(8.71%) copper and 91 to 1,360 ppm (0.136 %) zinc. The property lapsed in 2011.

In 2011, Brandy Brook Mines Limited staked the Miron occurrence with claim 4251297.

Brandy Brook completed ground magnetometer and VLF-EM surveys over the occurrence,

collected rock samples, mapped geology and collected several heavy mineral concentrates from

the Magusi River. The magnetometer survey showed the Miron occurrence coincides with a

northeast trending magnetic “low”. Several northeast trending magnetic features, some with

coincident VLF conductors, were detected proximal to the mineralization. Rock samples

collected at the time from the Miron occurrence assayed: <0.02 to 1.46 g/t gold, 0.5 to 46.8 g/t

silver, 0.007 to 8.61% copper and <0.001 to 0.12% zinc. Heavy mineral concentrates collected in

Page 11: accessible customer service. contact us. l’accessibilité ... · Data Set falling below the detection limit were consider as 0 and omitted from the calculation of the Lower Quartile

10

the Magusi River contained abundant pyrite and chalcopyrite grains. Many of the sulphide

grains contained inclusions of sphalerite. A single, large gold grain was present in a sample

collected in the river adjacent to the Miron occurrence and another large gold grain was found

in a sample collected upstream from the mineralization. Chalcopyrite and magnetite grains

coated with malachite were found in a heavy mineral sample taken downstream from the

Miron occurrence.

In 2016, Brandy Brook Mines collected additional rock samples at the Miron Cu-Ag-Au

Occurrence. Several channel cuts were made using a gas powered rock saw. Although sampling

was limited to a small area, best results included an 80 cm cut which averaged 1.7% Cu, 10.9 g/t

Ag, 0.06 g/t Au, 204 ppm Co, 338 ppm Ni, 434 ppm Zn, 2.1 ppm Mo and 97.5 ppm V.

In 2017, Brandy Brook collected soil samples over the area. Two anomalies were

delineated, a northeast-southwest trending anomaly coinciding with the Miron occurrence and

a second anomaly coinciding with magnetic and VLF-EM features situated on the west and

north side of the river.

Survey Dates and Personnel

Additional soil samples were collected on claim 529540 on August 20, 2018 (Figure 3).

The soil samples were collected in one day on August 20, 2018

Soil samples were collected by James Chard of Cordova Mines, Ontario and the author,

Robert Dillman of Mount Brydges, Ontario.

Survey Logistics

A total of 15 soil samples were collected during the project. The sample numbers collect

during 2018 program include: G-80 to G-95 inclusive.

The samples were collected at roughly 20 metre intervals along 2 lines spaced 75 metres

apart. The lines were orientated on a bearing of 1600 – 3400. A ribbon was used to mark each

sample site. The UTM coordinates of each sample site were recorded using a Garmin Rhino GPS

unit.

The samples were collected manually by shovel. All the samples were consistently

collected a depth of 10 to 20 cm below the black humus-organic layer. Each sample was

described and placed in a paper bag specifically designed for soil samples. Large pebbles were

removed by hand during sample collection.

Page 12: accessible customer service. contact us. l’accessibilité ... · Data Set falling below the detection limit were consider as 0 and omitted from the calculation of the Lower Quartile

11

The soil samples were sent to AGAT Laboratories for analyses. AGAT Laboratories is

located 5023 McAdam Road in Mississauga, Ontario. All the soil samples were analyzed for 54

elements using an Ethylenediaminetetraactic (EDTA) Cyanide Leach followed by Inductively

Coupled Plasma Mass Spectrometry (ICP-MS) to measure the amount of elements in each

sample.

Assay certificates from AGAT Laboratories are appended to this report.

In order to determine anomalies within the assay results, background values for each

element over the survey area has to be determined. Similar to other surveys, this requires some

data manipulation and calculation of Response Ratios. The first step is to determine the Lower

Quartile for each element in the assay Data Set. The Lower Quartile for elements in the soil

samples collected around the Miron occurrence is present in Table 1. Assay values within the

Data Set falling below the detection limit were consider as 0 and omitted from the calculation

of the Lower Quartile. Once the Lower Quartile is determined, the Response Ratio is calculated

by dividing the assay value of any particular element by the Lower Quartile. Decimal values are

rounded accordingly to make whole numbers. Samples with the highest Response Ratios are

considered anomalous. Geochemistry from rock samples collected in the Miron occurrence

helped distinguish which elements are important (Table 2). These elements include: copper

(Cu), silver (Ag), gold (Au), arsenic (As), cobalt (Co), manganese (Mn), nickel (Ni), lead (Pb),

vanadium (V), zinc (Zn).

Results of Soil Sampling

The Response Ratios for the soil samples collected in 2018 and 2017 are summarized in

Table 3.

The assay results for the 2018 soil samples are generally lower overall and result in

lower Response Ratios compared to 2017 samples. Sample G-87 stands out amongst the 2018

assays and is considered anomalous for most of the elements associated with the Miron Cu-Ag-

Au Occurrence: Ag, Au, Co, Cu and Mn.

The assay results for gold were consistently very low. As a measure of quality control,

the 2018 samples were re-assayed for gold resulting in little difference.

Discussion of Results

High Response Ratios for total counts of Au + Ag + Cu + Ni + Pb + Zn concentrations in

the soil samples from the 2017 and 2018 surveys are mostly focused around the Miron Cu-Ag-

Au Occurrence. The soil anomaly branches to the northeast across the river and coincides with

ground magnetic and VLF-EM features situated on the west side of the river. The soil anomaly

also appears to extend south along the east side the river and continues east from the showing

along the side of the river valley. Magnetic and VLF-EM features occur in the vicinity to both of

these trends.

Conclusions and Recommendations

The soil survey results suggest some of the geophysical features in the vicinity to the

Miron Cu-Ag-Au Occurrence could represent additional zones of mineralization. Additional soil

sampling is warranted on these targets prior to drill testing. A Mobile Metal Ionization (MMI)

survey is recommended to verify the soil anomalies and prioritize the geophysical features for

drill testing.
