xxx = Air tube length in mm MicroCentric's patented NR50 air tube is used with HST-HS high speed chucks. This air tube couples to the rotary air distributor in the centre of the HST-HS chucks. It features 3 passages, which makes coolant through the spindle possible. If you need lubrication through the spindle, then we can supply the air tube Model NR50-AL which is designed for optional automatic lubrication of HST-HS chucks. Dimensions:

xxx = Tube length in mm These units are used for automatic ejection of workpieces after machining is completed. The spring ejector is mounted at the rear of air tube Model 50. With the ejector is the tube, which goes through the third passage of the air tube and through the chuck to the workpiece. A part stop plate can be mounted onto the thread of the ejector tube. Additional to the ejector function, the unit has a built in coolant union which makes coolant through the spindle possible and an axially movable ring for location control of workpieces.

These rotary distributors are mounted at the rear of the air tubes, if the third passage of the air tube should be used Through it, coolant (e.g. at inside grinding applications) or oil at automatic lubrication can come through the spindle to the chuck during the manufacturing of workpieces.

For the control of all air operated chuck pneumatic 5/3-way valves are an alternative to our control units.

For convenient controlling of the pneumatic for our high-precision air chuck APC and our air operated diaphragm chuck MBS-L or MBS-DL, a control unit can be used. There are 3 different variants. The control unit BE-2 has a coupling to accept standard workshop air supply. Also supplied are fittings for connection to of the MicroCentric air tubes. For opening the chuck one manometer and one air control valve are used, and a second pair for closing the chuck. Therefore chucks can be opened & closed using independant air pressure, opening and closing is easily done by push-buttons. Inside of the control unit cabinet is a hand operated valve, which is used for the disconnection of air pressure and for changing the opening and closing lines. With the unit BE-3 it is possible, to control a pneumatic air cylinder in addi-tion to the functions of unit BE-2. This is a solution for machines using power operated collets and pneumatically operated chucks built in. With unit BE-3 the changeover time will be minimized, in addition to the BE-2 the BE-3 has a second built in hand operated control valve. Control unit BE-4 has in addition to unit BE-2 a second air pressure control for closing the chucks. This allows chucks, (especially diaphragm chucks), to be operated with 2 different air pressures for example, with higher clamping force for rough machining and lower clamping force for finish machining. Ad-ditionally the BE-4 has a further manometer, air pressure valve and push-button built in. Further control units for the control of clamping systems (e.g. elektrical-pneumatically from PLC interface) are available on request.

E6 chuck oil is a high quality way lubricant which lowers the coefficient of friction and allows for more efficient use of power. This unique formula also contains a tacky additive to help retain the oil in the chuck during rotation. MG grease is a high quality grease which reduces friction more than oil. It provides exceptional protection against wear and shock loads, and is resistant to high temperature, oxidation and rust. MG grease also has a good resistance to water. The grease is specially recommended for extreme pressure applications.

The air filter-regulator-lubricator unit controls operating pressure to the chuck and provides lubrication to the rotary air bearing of the air tube assembly. It also filters contaminants from the air supply, and helps prevent water vapour from accumulating and damaging the chuck.
