Trailers being spotted at this location are dropped on the dock, too tight against the dock bumpers.

When the trailer is dropped, the rear of the trailer raises and causes the dock to break.

Solution

Back the trailer to the dock until it makes contact with the dock bumper.

Roll forward 1” to 3”. This will create a gap between the trailer and the

dock. When the trailer is dropped, it will not be in contact

with the dock to cause damage. The gap between the trailer and dock is small

enough not to cause any safety issues with the dock workers.
