ACCORDION FIRE DOORSFIRE RATED SERIES 9900F

Designed to provide automatic closing in the event of fire detection, the Corflex 9900F is a rated physical fire barrier that protects openings from spreading fire and smoke. The 9900F can be used in openings that are part of a required means of egress.

OPERATION

Fail-safe emergency response capability. When an alarm is activated, the fire door closes automatically to prevent the spread of fire and smoke. In emergency mode, pressure on the vertical emergency exit hardware causes door to open 54” (1,372 mm), pause for 3 seconds, then automatically close. Closing fire doors can also be opened manually by a soft push against the leading sensing edge.

HEAD DETAIL PLAN VIEW

ROLLEREach lead post/stabilizer bar assembly is suspended by a 12 wheel ball bearing trolley system.

LEAD POST24 gauge (0.7 mm) commercial grade coated steel member with material and finish to match panels. Lead sensing edge and full length interior tubing support keep the lead posts vertical and in proper alignment during operation to ensure tight fitting closure of the door.

EMERGENCY EXIT HARDWAREColourful vertical exit bar with ADA / emergency egress instructions provided as standard. Additional exit bars available on wide doors.

STRIKE POSTWall mounted or recessed 18 gauge (1.3 mm) coated cold rolled steel member that receives the lead post and is secured to the wall opposite the stacked door. Finish to match panel.

HINGESContinuous length, full height 24 gauge (0.7 mm) commercial grade coated metal hinges interconnect door panels. Material and finish to match panels.

PANELSContinuous length, 4 ½” (114 mm) wide panels formed of 24 gauge (0.7 mm) commercial grade corrugated coated steel. Coating process includes a flexible urethane primer followed by a high performance, medium gloss, baked-on polyester coating in standard platinum grey color.

FLOATING JAMBFloating jamb is built of 18 gauge (1.3 mm) aluminized steel.

MOTOR OPERATIONThis automatic unfolding model ensures closing or opening in case of emergency, during routine testing or maintenance. Motor group contains DC 1/2 or 3/4 HP gear-motor, limit switch control system, drive sprocket and clutch. Operated by DC power supplied from two 12-volt maintenance free batteries located in the electronic control box. Batteries are continuously charged by the building’s electrical service and are automatically maintained to full capacity.

HEADER AND FLOOR SWEEPSContinuous, fire retardant flexible seals in matte black are attached to the top and bottom of the panels to eliminate gaps at the floor and head areas for fire and smoke protection.

TRACKInterconnected double track heavy duty extruded aluminum or 14 gauge (2 mm) cold rolled steel track. Track is supplied with a standard white baked-on powder coated finish.
