Databases – 24/7 Database A-Z list Databases by Subject Research Guides
• Click the drop-down menu by “Research by Subject”
• Click on “Business – Stafford” to access suggested research resources
• Click the “GO” button

• Click on the name of a database to begin searching
Can I use the databases from home?

• You will have to log-in to the databases when off-campus
• Contact the Library if you have access problems
• Enter a company name or ticker symbol• Click “Go”

• Use the Tabs to navigate to different company data• Click the “Reports” tab to get an industry report or an annual report • Click “Company Financials” to get financial data

• Use the drop down menus to find different sets of information• Use the sub-tab options to find different sets of information
- SEC Filings
• Click the “Finings” tab to search for 10-K reports and other SEC filings• Click on the “View Documents” icons to retrieve full text documents
- Annual Reports
• Click the “Reports” tab to access company annual reports• Click on the links to access to the complete document
• Always start your Lexis searches from the “Easy Search” screen
• From this screen, you can navigate to all the different information provided by the Lexis database

• Enter your company name or ticker symbol in the “Get Company Info” box
• You can search for private or public companies
• Click “Go”

• Click the name of your company when it appears
• Under “Company Type”, note the differences for parent vs. subsidiary, and public vs. private companies

• Use the Reports menu to locate additional information on a company
• Click “Financial Information” for financial details

• You can download, print, or email any portion of the financial data
• Click “Companies”
• Click “SEC Filings”
• Search by company, ticker, or keyword
• Limit by type of SEC form

• Click “Subject Areas”
• Click “Accounting”
• Search through a variety of full text accounting publications

• Enter your keywords in the search boxes
• Click the “Phrase” button to search for exact phrases
• Use the “Limit” option to find different results
• Click “Search”
• Click PDF or HTML to access the complete document
• Click Abstract for a summary
• Use the “Sort Items By” menu to list the most current articles or the most relevant articles
• Click “View PDF” or “View HTML” to view article
• Click on a “Keyword” or “Key Readings” to find similar information
• Enter your keyword(s)
• Consider using some of the “Limit your results” options
• Click “Search”

• Click “Locate Journal Article” if not full text through the database
• Narrow results by using subjects terms, dates, and publication type

Book Catalog:
• Book catalog will search for books at the Stafford and Simpson Libraries
• Perform a “Keyword Search”
• Enter your keywords
• Click “Search”

• Call numbers show location
• NetLibrary – online book
• Library of Congress - print book

• Print book at Stafford or Simpson Libraries
• Books at main campus library, request thru Illiad
• Click “full record” for ebooks
• Click “Item” or “Copies” for print books
In the Full Record, click the “Online” link to access the book in NetLibrary
Or select NetLibrary from the list of Databases on the “Business – Stafford” Research Guide
