Positioning
This presentation has been prepared to complement document IT/ACFS-
5/10/3. It provides a detailed progress update on resource mobilization,
relating growth to each of the priority prospect categories identified in the
‘Strategic Plan’.

CCS efficiency principles
Moving forward CCS suggests a number of actions to streamline efforts and maximize
Resources Mobilized.
• Increased high level direct contact with Contracting Party decision makers
• Encouraging investments directly to the BSF
• Creating a sense of urgency among prospects
• Promoting multi year investments (3 – 5 years)
• Intensify communications & media effort to prioritize mainstreamed message
• Prompt high impact launch of next call for proposals
• Recruit additional Leadership
• Staffing / resourcing – Plan indicated a P3 & P5

Actions requested of Ad-hoc Committee
• Secure meetings for Secretariat or CCS with appropriate Minister in your
country
• Active role in keeping the Treaty high on the policy & political agenda at
regional level
• Regular engagement with the Secretariat and CCS on BSF strategies
• Actively explore investment opportunities with Secretariat & CCS
