No industrial production facility can run without seals. The number of sealing points and media to be controlled is correspondingly large. So there are many system components that need to be sealed. Innovation from traditionIn 2007, EagleBurgmann created a landmark in mechanical seal technology with the introduction of DiamondFace. A microcrystalline layer with all

the attributes of natural diamond is applied to the sliding surfaces by chemical vapor deposition in a vacuum furnace. The method couples thick layers with

extremely flat and uniform sealing surfaces.

The seal faces with DiamondFace technology are extremely hard and resistant to wear, and offer excellent thermal conductivity. This reduces the power required, and means less heat generation combined with unsurpassed robustness.
