Thank you for taking the time to read

our publication. We have had an

amazing first quarter of the year with

porters. We are truly humbled and

grateful for all that you do. To our

models and our dedicated staff, we

could not have done this without you.

You are the motivation for us to do

great things and our inspiration to

Arlene Sara

Model

Arlene Sara is a professional model and actress from West Los Angeles, California. Her exotic looks were given to her by her American-born father from North Dakota and her mother, born and raised in Manila, Philippines. Growing up with a mixed heritage was not easy, but she found her voice and motivation through the everyday struggles we face.

Arlene began acting in student films and taking theater classes in early 2010 while at Santa Monica College. Her passion for both the en-tertainment and fashion industries grew quickly. She began modeling in Summer 2011 and has been strongly pursuing it since. Arlene specializes in runway and high-fashion modeling, but is always open to new ideas or collaborations that would showcase her many tal-ents. She is currently represented by Willow Model Management, but looks forward to many new possibilities!

You can find Arlene Sara on her website @ www.arlenesara.com

ACM: Being that you’re

not originally from Califor-

nia, tell us where you’re

from and what brought

you here?

Tre’ Azure: I had come to

a point in Chicago where

I needed more (exposure

& opportunity) I was going

to move either to NY or

L.A. So I like to think both

the weather and the

chance for opportunity in

entertainment is what

brought me to Cali!

ACM: When did you first

start singing?

Tre’ Azure: I had my first

performance at the age

of 7.

ACM: What did your fami-

ly do to encourage you?

Tre’ Azure: My family en-

couraged me (mostly my

Tre’ Azure

Singer/Song Writer/ Actress

Page 25: ACM NEWS APRIL/MAY 2012

Tre’ Azure: Well my Father, when serving in the military was apart of a quartet who re-

ceived a recording contract in the late 60s with James Brown’s Label. Unfortunately 2 of

the members were had a few years left to serve and didn’t take the risk of leaving to pur-

sue music. So my Father many times lives vicariously thru me. My Mother also has a singing

voice but did not pursue it much so she gives that badge to my Father willingly lol.

ACM: Who are your musical inspirations?

Tre’ Azure: My number one influence for years has been Patti Labelle as I have always

looked up to her as an artist and a person/mother/wife. I am also creatively influenced by

the likes of great song writers like Diane Warren, Robert Kelly, Tank and Marsha Ambrosius

ACM: Tell us about some of your accomplishments?

Tre’ Azure: My biggest most recent accomplishment was being nominated for a Grammy

in 2011 for best Live Soul Performance: “Struggling” by my band Stone Mecca. And in

2012, I made my Los Angeles Theater Debut as Doris the Church Lady in the Color Purple

Directed by NAACP award winner Michael Matthews. We have received rave reviews

thus far and the original writers/composers/screenwriters of the musical, (Stephen Bray, Al-

lee Willis and Marsha Norman) have all come to see our production and given us there

blessing as well as many high praises. I’m very proud to be one of the newest additions to

Celebration Theatre’s Family!

ACM: Who would you most like to open for?

Tre’ Azure: I think artist that would be good for me to tour with and/or open up for would

be TWEET, FAITH EVANS, MISSY ELLIOT, KALENA (DIRTY MONEY). Out of that list my top pick

would be to open up for Missy… and that was hard to choose.

ACM: Aside from singing, what are your additional talents?

Tre’ Azure: Well I am honing my acting craft. I also have a script that I’m working on and

you may be hearing about a pilot soon. I would also like to take a stab at Hosting and In-

terviewing as I have dabbled in that as well.

ACM: What do you think about when you’re performing?

Tre’ Azure: I think about making an impact on my audience. Today with Music being so

saturated, many artist are so consumed with getting hits on the YouTube Channel, Selling

tickets to their next show, bombarding folks on Twitter to make them buy their music on

iTunes.. I just feel like the time on stage is Golden and I like to make sure I take the time to

Page 26: ACM NEWS APRIL/MAY 2012

itouch/relate to someone in a real way. No matter the subject matter of your music, someone

out there can relate if not most of them so my job is to reach those every time…. And leave a

lasting impression that there are still artist that care about the MUSIC and the impact MUSIC is

supposed to make. I MUST EVOKE FEELINGS!

ACM: Do you have anything you are working on or currently doing at this time?

Tre’ Azure: The Color Purple is running Thurs- Saturday (8pm) and Sunday (3pm) from now until

the end of May. Go to www.celebrationtheatre.com to purchase tix.

ACM: What can we expect for you in the future and where can we find you on the web?

Tre’ Azure: I am working on the new mix tape and very close to finishing the pilot for my webi-

sode “Dream Chasers” (working title). It’s about the journey of a group of recording artists as

they maneuver their way around this crazy music industry looking for success, love and music

at the same time. Stay Tuned at www.Tre-Azure.net for the most recent updates
