With more than 1200 employees and 100.000 m2 of cov-

ered industrial premises at Mortain in Normandy, ACOME

is considered as a specialist in the field of low loss HF coaxial

cables and accessories, optical fibre cables and systems, as well

as LF and HF twisted copper pair cables, guaranteeing high

levels of performance, quality and reliability.

The Radio Vidéocom Division with its HYPERCELL ® range

of 50 Ω coaxial cables, meets the needs of the market

for low loss transmission lines in use for :

• Mobile radio communications

• Private and military telecommunications networks

(microwave links and local loop)

• Radio and television broadcasting networks.

ACOME is present in all of the international markets

and particularly in emerging markets, with subsidiaries in

Brazil and China.

The design and choice of connectors and accessories

ensure a perfect mechanical and electrical integrity

between the radio equipments and between the

transmitters or base stations and the antennas.

The Radio Videocom division also offers the Gigacome®

range of 75 Ω coaxial cables for CATV video communica-

tion networks.

Stringent quality targets are set at every stage, from

design to delivery and after-sales service. The quality

requirement also fully complies with the environmental

protection standards.

ACOME is certified :

ISO 9001 and

ISO 14001

For more informations, see general catalogue HYPERCELL®

Our coaxial cables,connectors and accessories

are offered with a 10 year guarantee

Low loss, foam dielectric HYPERCELL ® 50 Ω cables are

available in three versions: :

•Flexible (F series), available in 1/4", 3/8", 1/2",

• 5/8", 7/8", 1-1/4", 1-5/8" and 2-1/4” diameters.

•Super flexible (SF series), available in 1/4", 3/8"

• and 1/2" diameters

•Extra flexible (XF series), available in 1/16", 1/4"

• and 3/8" diameters.

Description The inner conductor is made of a copper wire, a copper

plated aluminium wire, or a smooth or corrugated copper

tube, according to diameter.

The foam dielectric insulator is bonded to the inner

conductor to avoid any longitudinal movement due to

temperature variations or mechanical forces. The

polyethylene foam is applied to the inner conductor by an

inert gas injection extrusion method. This process produces

a low density, fine close cells foam structure with low

dielectric losses. A very thin layer of polyethylene ensures

the core of the cable to show a constant diameter, guar-

anteeing high mechanical integrity and accurate

centering of the inner conductor for high impedance reg-

ularity. This dielectric being non hygroscopic, it ensures a

much extended cable service life.

The outer conductor of flexible and super flexible (F

and SF) cables are made of a copper tape having an elec-

trical conductivity of over 100% IACS, continuously

formed and welded, then helicaly or annularly corrugated.

The outer conductor of extra flexible (XF) cables are

made of an aluminium tape and a tinned copper braid

(1/16" and 1/4") or a copper tape and braid (3/8").

Polyethylene (PE) Outer Jacket

A halogen free, black, extruded jacket covering the outer

conductor provides high abrasion resistance, while at the

same time protects the cable against adverse weather con-

ditions and ultraviolet (UV) rays. Extra flexible (XF) cables,

which are generally installed inside equipment or building,

are provided with a PVC (Polyvinyl chloride)

protective jacket.

Jackets for special environments

HYPERCELL® cables are also available with LS0H halogen

free, fire retardant jacket for applications in buildings or

in confined areas.

These low smoke, low toxic gas emitting jackets meet the

requirements of the following international standards :

•IEC 60754-1 Acid gas content (less than 0.2%)

•IEC 60754-2 Acidity of gas (pH greater than 4.3)

•IEC 61034 Smoke emission and density

•IEC 60332-1 Spread of flame on a single vertically

•laid cable

•IEC 60332-3A Fire propagation on a bundle of cables

HFR Jacket

In addition to the LS0H specifications, these jackets also

meet the fire resistance requirements of specification

UL 1666 / CATVR - file E 1950007 x E 205044.

Other jackets can be offered to meet special standards,

such as RATP K26.

mances. They are tested according to the strict procedures specified by international standards (IEC) :

Jumper cables

They are commonly used for connecting antennas to the

feeders, and feeders to transmission equipments.

Their flexibility avoids the mechanical forces that would

otherwise be imposed on equipment or antenna connec-

tors, allowing easy adjustment of antennas during installa-

tion or during network optimisation.

Made from Flexible (F) or Super Flexible (SF) cables, they are

provided with factory fitted over-moulded type N or 7/16

Din male, elbow or female connectors. If assembled on

Flexible cables, linear attenuation takes precedence over

bending radius. They are available in standard lengths of

1.0m, 1.5m, 2.0m and 3.0m, and any specific length or

combination of connectors can be provided upon request.

The inner captivated and outer contacts of the con-

nectors assembled on over-moulded jumper are 360°

welded, providing the following advantages:

• High torsion and pull-off strength

• Low and stable IM3 intermodulation level

• Controlled Return Loss

• Waterproofing level IP68
