Gamma Irradiation Facility

• Hazard category 3 nuclear facility
• Used to evaluate the effects of high energy gammas on variousmaterials (space components,
weapons components, cherryseeds, etc.)
• 3 irradiation cells, 1 with largemovable wall to facilitate irradiationof large items (such as an M60tank)
• Approximately 232 kCi of Co-60
• Filmed for Discovery Channelspecial (awaiting scheduling of premier)
