Day 1: Introduction & Monitoring
09.00 – 09.15 Welcome and Expectations
09.15 – 10.15 Introduction. An introduction to the course. What is DART?What is Allot’s offering and different use cases? Who are Allot’s typical customers and what are their needs? This module goeson to define key terms and to present the basic solutionarchitecture.
10.15 – 11.30 Introducing In-Line Platforms. What is NetEnforcer? What isService Gateway? What are the differences between themodels? This module looks at the different factors involved indeciding where to place a NE or SG in the customer’s network,
before showing how to physically connect them to the networkand how to perform initial configuration.
In addition, this module explains how to set up NE/SG in aconfiguration to recognize asymmetric traffic, and how to useactive redundancy for NetEnforcers.
11.30 – 11.45 Hands-on In-Line Platforms Exercises
12.00 – 13.00 Lunch Break
13.00 – 14.00 Introducing NetXplorer. What is NetXplorer? We will learn howto install the NetXplorer server (Linux or Windows) and the GUI
client, and will then see how to get started working with the GUI.
14.00 – 14.15 Hands-on NetXplorer Exercises
14.30 – 16.00 Monitoring and Reporting. How can you use the NetXplorer toget full visibility of your network? In this module, we will learnhow to use the real-time monitoring and long-term reportingfunctionalities of the NetXplorer. We will examine the differenttypes of available graphs and will see how they are typicallyused. We will also look at some of the more advanced monitoringfeatures, before seeing how to pre-define and schedule reportsand how to use groups to enable reporting across different
entities.

Day 2: Policy Provisioning & Alarms
09.00 – 10.30 Condition Catalogs. How to define different condition catalogs
to classify the traffic running through your network. This moduleincludes a thorough explanation of host, time, service, ToS,encapsulation, Tethering and Interface catalogs.
10.30 – 12.00 Hands-on Provisioning Exercises #1
12.00 – 13.00 Lunch Break
13.00 – 14:00 Action Catalogs. How to define the different action catalogs toenforce Quality of Service polices that you have defined for thetraffic running through your network and to steer traffic tosubscriber or network services. This module includes a thorough
explanation of the QoS and Integrated Service catalogs, as wellas WebSafe and HTTP Monitoring service activation catalogs.
14.15 – 15.30 Building the Enforcement Policy. How to use the buildingblocks you have defined in the catalog entries to build aneffective enforcement policy to meet your business needs. Thismodule includes explanations and overview of building the policy.
15.30 – 17.00 Hands-on Provisioning Exercises #2
17.00 – 18.00 Events and Alarms. How to ensure a proactive notification ofchanges in the status of your network. This module covers howto define alarms and alarm actions and how to assign them todifferent entities. In addition, we see how to configure events,and how to view events and alarms in the various logs. We endwith several examples.

Day 3: Steering, Troubleshooting & Exam
09.00 – 10.30 Steering and Mirroring. How to configure Allot products to steer
traffic? In this module we begin by reviewing Allot’s steeringfunctionality before discussing 4 different service scenarios usingsteering. At the end of the module, we will examine configurationsteps required in order to work with each steering type.
10.45 – 12.00 Basic System Troubleshooting. How to troubleshoot Allotsystems? We will see how to verify that all architecture elementsare functioning and communicating as they should. We will thensee how to check if connections are being correctly classifiedand bandwidth is being allocated according to the configurationand our expectations. We will review some common tasks andreview the next step actions: how to create snapshot file, searchthroughout online knowledgebase and open support case.
12.00 – 13.00 Theoretical Exam. Summarizing the material learnt in thecourse.
13.00 – 14.00 Lunch Break
14.00 – 14.30 Reviewing the theoretical exam and answering questions
14:30 – 15.45 Practical Exam. Work in groups to build traffic policies on thebasis of specific customer needs.
15.45 – 16.45 Presentation of practical exam results and feedback
16.45 – 17.00 Summary and Feedback
