UCI’s Oil Refining Grade Carbon’s is softer, lighter and has low ash. Due to its high porosity it is used as a catalyst carrier (e.g. Merox) in Petroleum Refineries.
APPLICATIONS: OIL REFINING
The activated carbon is used to reduce impurities such as color contents or small volume of by-products in the solutions in pharmaceutical, oleo chemicals and other chemical industries.
Activated carbon is used to treat poisonings and overdoes following oral ingestion.
APPLICATIONS: DRUG INDUSTRY
There are 2 predominant types of carbon filters used in the filtration
