EMPOWERING YOUTH IN TRANSITION

MISSIONThe Empowering Youth with Disabilities into Adulthood program assists high school students ages 14-22 years old to transition from high school into community life. Empowering Youth is offered within Maricopa County.

YOUTH CAN — Learn self-advocacy skills

— Learn independent living skills

— Transition from high school to college

— Explore vocational goals

— Improve self-esteem

— Discover what resources are available within the community

— Realize new and innovative ways to live with a disability

INDEPENDENT LIVING SKILLS PRESENTATIONS / WORKSHOPS INCLUDE

— Money management

— Apartment resources

— Resumé building

— Job applications

— Nutrition

— Disability awareness

— Recreation

— Self-advocacy

— Transportation

ABILITY360 MISSION

Ability360 offers and promotes programs designed to empower people with disabilities to take personal responsibility so that they may achieve or continue independent lifestyles within the community.

ABILITY360 CENTER

Ability360 and Ability360 Sports & Fitness Center are co-located with 11 other disability services organizations on the Ability360 Center campus at 50th St. and Washington in Phoenix.
