• Cupping is the use a glass cup with a flame inside.

• It is an alternate method to needles

• Allopathic or osteopathic medical degree

• Bachelor’s Degree in Oriental Medicine

Certification

• Acupuncturist certification comes from the American Board of Medicinal Acupuncture

• The prerequisite is 300 hours of board approved classes

• Another option is an interview with board members

• After either option, a test must be taken

One year experience $45,000-$60,000

Five years $60,000-$80,000

Ten years $80,000-$100,000

Twenty years $100,000-$140,000
