MY FIRST YEAR IN AD SOCIETYas told by Sasha Saigol

I remember walking into the first meeting of Ad Society feeling all nervous and slightly intimidated by the number of bright and talented members in the room. I quickly felt very welcome though and I became the Director’s assistant on the publicity team.

Some of the highlights of being a part of Ad Society this year include being exposed to the opportunity to hang out at Tijuana Flats with top dogs from Grooveshark and Google. Being a part of Project Makeover where we got to remodel an elementary school was very rewarding. Getting praise from my Director, Cameron, for my chalk art on the sidewalks was also a good memory.

I look forward to getting even more involved with the club in the years to come and going on some of the business trips outside of Gainesville. Looking back, I realize that Ad Society has helped me grow creatively and also as a person.
