George Orwell once taught at Fray’s college, so named for its situation on the banks of the river Fray that winds an idyllic journey through
west London. The river itself so named after John Fray, who owned Cowley Hall estate beside the river in the fifteenth century.
Believed to have been originally made to divert water resources to the mills of the day, used to produce flour and paper amongst other things, it winds through a beautiful and romantic section of west London. As the great man once wrote, “What happens to you here is forever”
Enriched in old English splendour, yet greatly accessible by land, sea and air, the Qvardis and the Mallard suite feel like a world away. A beautifully ornate building and grounds amid a haven of lush countryside, adjacent to a slow, dawdling river. The venue, grounds and ambience really do speak for themselves.
Part of the wedding experience are the people who help make the magic happen. The care and attention to detail employed by a variety of staff from chefs to chamber maids. Chief coordinator of this fantasy is owner and wedding coordinator Nick Stanton. Obviously providing a personal touch and care for the industries’ delicate demands, I ask how he came to be in this line of work.
he adds, “We take a lot of time & effort into making sure that the day is perfect from the leading up to the day then from start to the finish. “As we offer many things in the packages, it leaves the happy couple with less to do & stress free.”
The personal touch cannot be over emphasised. In this monumental occasions it’s the little things that count. No one understands more than the coordinator. “Every wedding is interesting in its own way.
