Production log 1 This is the first part of how i started my James Bond motion graphics; I started off with making playing cards and then editing them in Photoshop, i changed the colour of the cards and got rid of any parts i didn’t need. Then i imported them into after effects and added a Motion tile effect which duplicated the cards and i also had an option to make the tiles move. I key framed the parts i wanted to move and for how long for. I then on some of my backgrounds had them moving in and out by changing the scale of them using a key frame. As you can see from the top i used motion tile as my effects and also i used a key frame to change the scale of the background so it moved in and out slightly to give of a slight 3D effect. I did this with all the backgrounds and then rendered them out and then added them to my final project in premiere. I have chosen the colour sequence for my background as a retro look and then there is a roulette board to add into the casino look.

For this part of my production i animated the spades and i then put a line behind the spade so it looked like it was following it. Then the spade would move across the screen and then disappear. I did this by making the spade move first this being the easiest thing to do; i set the position of the spade so it was off the screen and then set the position so the spade moved to the right and then off the screen. The next part was tricky i had to create a shape layer and then attach it to the spade using the anchor point; i then moved the shape layer with the spade.

This is the start of my project when i made all the shapes in Photoshop and this was easy as i could just design the shapes and get them off the internet and change them like i did, so i got them off Google and then i changed the pictures i coloured them all in slightly and made them slightly different so i could use them, Then i exported them into After effects to animate.

This is the gun animation that plays the main role in my animation, it has been broke up into two parts and i did this via Photoshop and colour graded them to make the gun more of an outstanding colour.

The gun on the right is what i started off with, and then i added it to Photoshop and changed the colours to make them look cartoonier for my title sequence. I then cropped the gun so the chamber had its own movements and the bottom half of the gun did. I then added them into after effects and made the chamber move back by changing the position and then moved it back with a flash that i got from the after effects folder to give off a good effect.

This what i did with the shapes i made in Photoshop, I made a heart that would bleed i did this by getting the heart shape that i made in Photoshop and then make spade suits move out of the bottom with a shape layer following them. I did this so that i could have hearts bleeding and it fits in to the title sequence. Then i made the expanding club suit and this was difficult as i had to place all the club suits at a point so they all fired off but the spades didn’t hit each other. I think this was a success though as both of the creations give a better effect to the title sequence.

This is what i did with the rest of the suits i have made i just put them into a line and made them move. I did this for a few of the animations mostly at the beginning.

This was the kaleidoscope of the bad guy’s gun that exploded. I did this because it gives off a good James Bond effect with the strange visuals. To make these i had the bad guys gun that i made in Photoshop, Then i added it to after effects and added the kaleidoscope effect onto the gun and that made all the gun break up and look good. Then i sped up the animation in premier to make the kaleidoscope move faster.
