Adaptations
By Ashley
Bald Eagles• Eagles live all over
the world, except in cold places.
• Adaptation 1: They are found in deserts, woodlands, and rainforests. They build nests in trees.
• Adaptation 2: They also have strong beaks to tear their food apart and they even have sharp claws to kill their prey.
Falcons• Falcons live in mostly
every habitat. They build nests on rocky cliffs. Some falcons live in cities.
• Adaptation 1: They can kill their prey with just their sharp claws.
• Adaptation 2: Falcons have excellent vision that is twice as good as a human’s. This helps them find their prey.
Sugar Glider
• They live in the trees of Australia. They leap from tree to tree.
• Adaptation 1: They chatter loudly when a group of them are in danger.
• Adaptation 2: They bark like dogs and chirp like birds to warn others when predators are near.
Skunks
• They make homes in warm areas.
• Adaptation 1: They have smelly oil underneath their tails to protect themselves when an enemy is near.
• Adaptation 2: They spray the oil so the enemy will go away.
