This book introduces the Sacrament of Confirmation. The story explains how to prepare for the sacrament and describes the people involved, what happens during the Confirmation Mass, and the significance and effects of the sacrament. Each person involved in Confirmation preparation must request the sacrament from the bishop, usually with a formal letter. This double-sided card offers two options for individuals to request the sacrament. In these short letters to the bishop, individuals confirm that they have prepared for the sacrament and will continue to live the faith.

This ball can be used to foster communication between the individual preparing for Confirmation and his or her sponsor, catechist, helper, or parent. Adaptation suggestions are included in the Helper Guide.
