Q1: Are 15” or 13”H student chairs (C100) acceptable alternates? Yes – 15”H

Q2: Are the quantities the TOTAL quantity PER SCHOOL or is this the

total quantity and some may go to each school?

Per the bid package, the quantity shown is the total for the all schools

on the package and will be broken out by building, meaning different

ship-to locations.

Q3: Are items S14 and S100 to be keyed alike or keyed randomly? S14 is to be keyed alike per user (denoted by task chair location) and

S100 is to be keyed randomly.

Q4: What leg finish is required for C12.a? Textured satin chrome or similar will be required.

Q5: Can we use standard contracts (i.e. NCPA) for this project? Yes! Please feel free to use whatever pricing model makes sense,

knowing that the Owner will be purchasing off this package for the

next two years, needing a price guarantee.

Q6: T1.a and T1.b have conflicting specifications on the edge detail

and neither specified laminate has a matching edge. Please advise on

how to proceed.

3mm PVC edge with matching graded-in laminate; will update

finishes in addendum.

Q7: C102 – The spec is V/S Hokki and the approved alternative is the

Safco Runtz. Is that correct even though the Runtz is a quite different

product than a wobble stool? Just wanted to confirm before asking for

pricing.

We’re looking for pricing on products that are comparable in function

(short-term active sitting) to the VS Hokki stools. The Safco Runtz

seemed to fit that bill, but if there’s another product that you think

would be a better match, please feel free to get pricing on that

instead.

Q8: D 14-16 & D100a, T20.a – T105 and S12 – S110 are not on the

proposal form schedule. We wanted to make sure all of these items

are on the bid. I am sure they are, but wanted to make sure.

We’re aware of the missing lines on the proposal schedule and will be

re-issuing that document early next week… our print regions were off

and we didn’t catch it before the bid went out the door. Please move

forward with pricing D14-16; D100.a; T20.a-T105 and S12-S110.

Q9: Is it correct that the only item in the MU section is (26) of the

music posture chairs?

That is correct – there are only (26) chairs in the MU section for this

first package. The next two packages will likely have much more MU

furniture.

Q10: I would like to submit alternates for some of the specified

products. What is your process?

As for the process of submitting alternates, you are welcome to do

so directly, with the understanding that your company would

oversee tracking the order, overseeing installation and

completing/following up with a punch list. If that’s not how you

handle projects, we would suggest teaming up with a local

dealership to submit alternate pricing and have them handle the

order entry/delivery/install/punch.

Q11: M5 – Safco sells this item in packs of 6. Are you looking for 5

packs of 6 (30 total) or just 5 units?

We will just need (1) 6-peg unit total. An updated quantity will be

noted on the addendum.

chrome. The Safco item specified is gray powder coat. Safco does not

offer this product in chrome. Is the gray powder coat acceptable?

Safco’s Metallic Gray is acceptable.

Q15: On the specs, for the workbenches it states “ + 4 woodworking
