Response: The contractor is required to provide a complete and operable clock/speaker

system. Refer to the revised Sheet E0.1,Communication Symbols, issued Addendum #3 sketches. Refer to the revised Sheet E6.1, Communication System Riser Diagram, issued in Addendum #3 for additional clock/speaker requirements. Refer to the entire Sheet E6.13 issued in Addendum #3 for additional requirements. Refer to the entire Spec Section 27 51 16 issued in Addendum #3.

ITEM NO. 4.29: Switchboard specification section 262413-2.01D states the switchboard shall be

General Electric to match the existing main distribution gear. The existing main distribution gear is being demolished. Can the new switchboard be Square D or approved equal similarly to the transformer and panelboard specifications?

Response: The Switchboard can be Square D, Siemens, General Electric or approved

equal.

ITEM NO. 4.30: Will the Low Voltage Contractor be running the wire for the cameras or will the Security Integrator need to include the wire runs as well?

Response: Refer to Addendum #3 for additional requirements and clarifications to the Access Control and Intrusion Alarm Systems. Refer to Access Control System Specification Section 28 10 00 issued in Addendum #4 for additional requirements.

ITEM NO. 4.31: Access Control is noted under abbreviations, we did not see any equipment listed for Access Control or and Intrusion System under T0-01,T0-02, T0-01,a,b,c; T1-02,a,b,c; T4-01 - will there be Access Control or Intrusion on another addendum or is there another document within the original RFP & Addendum 1 11 21 18?

Response: Refer to Item No.4.3 of this addendum for Access Controls. Refer to Addendum No. 3 for Intrusion Alarm scope clarifications.

ITEM NO. 4.32: Coiling Door Questions: 1. The specs call for a counter door, but the plans clearly show a service door

(16' x 10'6") 2. The door type calls for the door to be 8'6" high and the door schedule calls for

the door to be 10'6" high. Which one is correct? 3. The door type calls for this door to be door type J however all the doors that

are type J are much smaller than the 16' x 8'6" the door type shows. 4. This door should clearly be door# 158B, but that door on the door schedule

doesn't even show a type 5. The specifications state that the door is supposed to be chain operated, but

the door type calls for it to be motorized. Which one is correct? 6. The details on 9 & 10 on A10.08 call for the door to be mounted to steel

studs. This is not acceptable by any door manufacturer. Service doors must mount to a minimum of structural steel. The fasteners they show fastening the door are not sufficient either. Please provide an acceptable specification, the correct door type, correct door size and proper details for mounting the door.

ITEM NO. 4.33: There is no detail provided for Mounting and Attachment detail for refrigeration piping at the roof. Please advise if attached [DURA-BLOK] is acceptable.

Response: Contract documents indicate suspending refrigerant piping below roof, tight to

structure (above ceiling). Refrigerant above roof shall be kept to a minimum. We take no exception to the proposed Durablock for refrigerant piping support above roof. See attached ‘DURA-BLOK’ product information.

ITEM NO. 4.40: Pursuant to Addendum 2, Item 2.26, we note that Sec. 007213 15.2.3 is still a

contract requirement. Under what circumstances must the Contractor work 7 days a week at no cost to the Owner due to weather related delay? This is potentially a large expense, and was not addressed by Item #2.25.

Response: Condition applies to any inclement weather.

ITEM NO. 4.41: Pursuant to Addendum 3 response Item 3.65, it appears that the Contractor is not required to perform offsite inspections, but rather pay the district’s costs to do so, without knowing how or with whom the District is contracted to perform those services. DURA-BLOK is made from 100% recycled rubber and qualifies for LEED credits. Reflective strips on both sides allow foreasy product visibility.

Channels are through bolted on all sizes for added strength and a 1” (25.4mm) gap between blocks allows water to flowfreely around longer assemblies.

Product composition is not sharp or abrasive, helping to extend the roof life and no penetration through the roof is required.

The DURA-BLOK dampens vibration, needs no supplemental rubber pad, and will not float or blow away.

The DURA-BLOK is UV resistant and is suitable or any type roofing material or other flat surface. For sloped surfaces seepage 289 for adjustable hinge fitting (B634).

The open ends allow for easier adjustments to DBE, DBR, and DBM series supports. A drainage channel through the centerof the block keeps water from pooling under the support.

DURA-BLOK can be used to support piping, HVAC/Ducts, roof walkways, conduit and cable tray.

GRATEWALK™Rooftop Walkway with Integrated DURA-BLOK™ Supports

Features & Benefits of the GRATEWALK Rooftop Walkway

• Available with slip resistant GRATE-LOCK™, helping provide a safe walkway for foot traffic on the roof.

• Easy to install, elevated design, creates an identifiable path for foot traffic helping prevent wear and tear to

the roof surface.

• The cross-over design offers safe passage over existing cabling, piping, cable tray or any otherinterference on the rooftop.

• The self cleaning pattern allows water and dirt to easily flow through, helping make the grating

an ideal walkway in all weather conditions.

• Handrail options are available

• Integrated with 100% post-consumer recycled rubber supporting LEED credit qualification.

• Provide solid support for the walkway that stays in place and replaces the need for separate rubber

roof mounting pads which tend to float away.

B-Line series GRATEWALK™ Rooftop Walkways with DURA-BLOK™ provides the optimal solution to extend thelife of your roof, while providing a safe pathway to roof mounted support equipment.
