Off the Shelf:Adding an Image to a book review post

Choose “Classic Catalog” to get started.

Do a title search for the item you are reviewing.

In the item record, click “Reviews & More.”

Right click on the cover image.

Select properties…

…and copy the Syndetics web address.

In Wordpress, click the “add an image” button.

Choose the “From URL” tab.

Click in the “Image URL” box and paste the Syndetics web address you copied from the catalog.

Give your image a title.

Select “Left” from the alignment options.

Then click “Insert into Post.”

We’re not done yet! We need to link the image back to the catalog record.

Click on the book cover…

…then click the “add link” button.

Paste the web address for the item list in the link URL box.

You’ll get that web address from the catalog search page.

After you paste the catalog web address, click “Insert” to finish.

Now you can use the “add a link” button to link the title to the same catalog record.

Highlight the title and click the “add a link” button.

Paste the web address from the library catalog title search and click “Insert.”

Now you are ready to write your review. But first – click Save Draft to save all the work you’ve done so far!
