Adding Sound in Game Maker

To an Object:

Click on the speaker on the tool bar at the top then load the sound

After that a box will appear there you can change the name of the sound.

You then click on the load sound button. This opens the files and lets you select the sound you want. Then just click ok.

Click the Speaker

Click here to select the sounds

The sounds will be in the sounds folder

You then need to apply the sounds to the objects. First you go to the objects and select the object you want to add the sound to.

You then add the event of when you want the sound to play. Go into the main1 tab at the side. Then drag the play sound into the actions bar.

Select the object you want to apply the sound to

Drag the play sound onto the action bar

Go on the main1 bar

A box should then pop up. When it says no sound go to the side there should be a little blue box thing and then you can select one of your previously loaded sounds.

Once you have selected your sound click ok on the play sound box (if you want the sound to loop select true if not false). The select ok again on the object box.
