The Address 1

When it comes to finding your perfect address in

Dubai, you first need to make one key decision: will

you stay Uptown or Downtown?

Downtown Dubai’s world-class attractions place

you in the very thick of things - its centrepiece

is without doubt the magnificent Burj Khalifa,

the world’s tallest building (and home to the

fashionable Armani Hotel Dubai, At.mosphere

and At the Top, Burj Khalifa observatory), while

below it the area virtually glitters with its groomed

promenades, The Dubai Mall (a shopper’s

paradise with 1,200 shops) and the dancing Dubai

Fountain. When it comes to where to rest your

head, four stylish hotels top the chart: The Address

Downtown Dubai, The Address Dubai Mall and The

Palace – The Old Town, plus Armani Hotel Dubai.

Dubai’s Uptown district, meanwhile, marries

skyscrapers and sea with its man-made Dubai

Marina where yachts bob in the immaculate

harbour. A popular destination for Dubai residents,

you can make like a local by strolling around its

waters, stopping off at myriad cafés (and Dubai

Marina Yacht Club), heading to the nearby beach,

and seeking respite from the sun in The Address

Dubai Marina – a fine spot to take in afternoon tea,

laze by its standout pool with light bites and, by

evening, savour international fare with views across

the shimmering waters and bright city lights.

Once you’ve made up your mind where to stay,

there’s a whole host of activities, restaurants, spas

and sights at your fingertips: turn the page to find

out just where to go and what to do...

Your Dubai Address The city of gold is split into two distinct areas, Uptown and Downtown, each of which has its own sparkling treats for those who stay there...

Live it up this summer Reserve a room at one of The Address Hotels

+ Resorts, Armani Hotel Dubai, Al Manzil Hotel

or Qamardeen Hotel this summer and you’ll

be handed fast-track passes to the city’s most

exciting, family-friendly attractions. What’s more,

the longer you stay, the more you can do: a three-

night break earns you passes to the Dubai Ice Rink

or Dubai Aquarium & Underwater Zoo and a trip to

SEGA Republic. Add one more night to your trip

and you can add KidZania® to the list – and if that’s

not enough, a five-night stay brings all of the above,

plus a trip up Burj Khalifa. Valid from 15 May 2012

to 15 September 2012, there’s no better way to

live it up this summer. Visit liveitupsummer.com for

details and theaddress.com for hotel bookings.

1. Snap the sprawling city

sights from the heights of At

the Top, Burj Khalifa.

2. Feed penguins (yes,

really!) at Dubai Aquarium &

Underwater Zoo.

3. Watch water dance to

music at The Dubai Fountain

– we’ve never seen a show

quite like it before.

4. Go for a stylish

pampering experience at

Armani/SPA – it’s sublime.

5. Go disco skating on an

Olympic-sized Dubai Ice Rink

at The Dubai Mall. Excellent

fun, whatever your age!

6. Fashion fans simply must

dine or sup at Armani Hotel

Dubai – designed by Georgio

Armani himself.

7. Enjoy a giant shopping

trip at The Dubai Mall.

8. Hire a boat or take a

cruise from the Dubai Marina

Yacht Club.

9. Learn the Sport of Kings

with a polo lesson at the

Dubai Polo & Equestrian Club.

10. Tee off at the

Montgomerie Dubai’s

Inside look You’ll be spoilt for choice on how to spend your

time at The Address Downtown Dubai. The

63-storey hotel takes pride of place in Downtown

Dubai – a place where big is beautiful: The Dubai

Mall, the biggest shopping mall on the planet,

is a stone’s throw away (shopaholics’ jaws will

drop at its 1,200 outlets). Then there’s the world’s

tallest building, Burj Khalifa – make a beeline for

its viewing platform and snap the city sights. Stay

put inside the hotel, meanwhile, and you can take a

soak in its infinity pool, treat yourself to a treatment

in its spa or dine in style in one of seven eateries.

Live it upTo feel every inch the celebrity, reserve a Club

Premier or Club Grand room – airport transfer in a

limousine, 24-hour concierge and a Club Lounge

with on-tap treats all come as standard for Club-

level guests.

Before you leave… Savour a glass of something cool in the hotel’s new

Cigar Lounge – a go-to for the city’s ‘in’ crowd with

its al fresco seating and views of Burj Khalifa.

4 The Address

Inside lookFashion followers will be in their element at The

Address Dubai Mall – the luxurious five-star venue

gives you direct access to the impressive Dubai

Mall, home to virtually every designer brand

under the sun as well as the eye-widening Dubai

Aquarium & Underwater Zoo (a sure-fire way to

keep little ones quiet). When you’re not shopping

til you drop or sampling the mall’s myriad eateries,

The Address Dubai Mall makes a seriously stylish

hangout: seek retreat from the shopping crowds

with a dip in its spectacular 36-metre pool, soak up

the Arabian sun on its sprawling deck, and savour

international bites at its poolside eatery Cabana.

Live it up Fond of the five-star treatment? Request one of

the hotel’s personal fashion advisors who will take

you on a shopping trip like no other around the

huge Dubai Mall – and help you bag a to-die-for

wardrobe in the process.

Before you leave… Regain a sense of calm at The Spa at The Address

Dubai Mall. Here, both men and women can take

their pick from an arm-length treatment menu

(think soothing facials, cleansing body wraps and

invigorating body scrubs) before relaxing in its

sauna and steam rooms. Bliss.

Inside lookFrom its soaring stone archway to its palm-flanked

water features and imposing pillars, arrivals here

make you feel as though you’re approaching

a Middle Eastern palace. Set foot inside and

the palatial feel continues with charming Arabic

touches (dark wood panelling, Moroccan lanterns,

richly-hued furnishings). Outside, fauna-filled

gardens and a cabana-flanked pool add to

the illusion that you’re roaming a private royal

residence. The Spa at The Palace – The Old Town

really is a must-try while you’re here, not least for

its indulgent treatments but also for its beautiful

rooms and hammam tables. At night, you can

feast like a king in one of the hotel’s first-class

eateries (see Eating Out) – try the award-winning

Argentinian restaurant Asado and sink your teeth

into fine cuts of South American steak.

Live it upFor a stay of royal proportions, there is no grander

spot than the Imperial Suite: 500 square metres

decked out in luscious Arabic interiors.

Before you leave… For an ‘Arabian Nights’ experience, go to the

Ewaan lounge and relax beneath a tented cabana

with exotic shisha – magical.

6 The Address

Inside lookFor an intimate retreat that doesn’t scrimp on

five-star style, The Address Montgomerie Dubai

should be your first port of call: its stately white

façade may look grandiose but it gives way to just

21 hotel rooms, making it the most handsome

boutique spot in town. Set in the generous grounds

of one of the UAE’s top golf courses, you’ll be privy

to pea-green fairways and shimmering lakes. In

fact, whether you’re a golfer or not, you can’t fail to

admire the 18-hole Colin Montgomerie-designed

championship course – and if the sight of all those

greens doesn’t inspire you to tee off (though with

its 81 bunkers and 14 lakes, we doubt it), the Thai-

themed Angsana Spa is sure to entice you.

Live it upThe Executive Suite is the ultimate space in

which to relax. Its four private balconies are a real

highlight – each comes with golf course views.

Before you leave…If you’re in town on Friday you’re in for a culinary

treat: Nineteen hosts an à la carte brunch – a

delightfully indulgent way to spend a long lunch.

The Address 7

Inside lookFew hotels place you in the thick of the city and

beside boat-bobbing waters – yet The Address

Dubai Marina manages to do just that. Its modern

rooms and sun-licked infinity pool (find it on the

fourth floor) are the best spots from which to

view the famous Dubai Marina and its soaring

skyscrapers, while four quality dining spaces

enable you to admire the scenery with a tasty

bite or beverage. Those with a sweet tooth won’t

be able to resist afternoon tea at Kambaa, where

just-baked scones, naughty-but-nice pastries and

gourmet sandwiches (along with global teas) top

the menu. In the mood for some retail therapy?

The hotel’s direct connection to Dubai Marina Mall

means you’ll have high street brands, cool cafés

and a luxury cinema at your fingertips.

Live it upGold accents, floor-to-ceiling windows and three

bedrooms – The Presidential Suite is a truly opulent

space from which to be dazzled by the bright lights

of Dubai Marina. But its taste for the extravagant

doesn’t stop there – it comes with a Jacuzzi too.

Before you leave… Take advantage of your sea-drenched surrounds

by setting sail around the Marina. Ask your

concierge how you can charter a boat or yacht,

and put your sea legs to the test.

8 The Address

Inside lookFrom the moment you arrive at the world-famous

Burj Khalifa you know you’re in for something

special – and its only resident hotel, the sublimely

elegant Armani Hotel Dubai, is a case in point.

Whether you’re a slave to design or not, it’s

impossible not to be impressed by the sleek and

sophisticated interiors created by Giorgio Armani:

every space is impeccably stylish, from the

lobby’s neck-craningly high ceiling to each of the

160 guest rooms (bathrooms come packed with

Armani-branded goodies) and its acclaimed

eateries (see Eating Out) – among them the

caramel-hued Armani/Ristorante where you can

savour the fare of Tuscany in a first-class setting.

Despite Burj Khalifa’s cylindrical shape, there’s

space enough for a wish-bone-shaped swimming

pool – a great place to escape the city below.

Decked out with sleek sun-loungers in the hotel’s

signature grey, outdoor pools don’t get much

cooler than this…

Live it upWant to go all out? How about a suite that takes

up the entire 39th floor? The Armani Dubai Suite is

a sublime example of Georgio Armani’s handiwork

and brings with it arguably the city’s best views.

Before you leave… Armani/SPA is a must-try: its minimalist style will

make you feel as though you’ve entered a futuristic

world – and if its peace-inducing treatments don’t

send you into a state of bliss, the aroma of its

bespoke jasmine and jade oils most certainly will.

Inside lookModern-day style and Arabic traditions combine at

Al Manzil, where you’ll find all the mod cons a 21st-

century traveller could wish for, married with the

stellar service for which Dubai is famed. Make the

most of the hotel’s old-meets-new style by relaxing

amidst its comforting décor (each room is a show

of spice-toned furnishings); savouring shisha in

its idyllic Arabian Courtyard or dining at one of

the hotel’s eateries – its newest addition, Parisian

café The Boulevard, is a prime setting for people-

watching. And if you do want to leave the hotel, a

free shuttle service will whisk you to The Dubai Mall

or Jumeirah Beach Park – perfect for picnicking.

Live it upAl Manzil’s Burj View Suite is the best place from

which to survey the architectural marvel. (Tear

yourself away for just long enough to enjoy a big

bubble bath in the suite’s vast tub.)

Before you leave… Foodies won’t want to miss an evening at the

hotel’s Conservatory restaurant – you can chat to

the chefs and request personalised dishes.

10 The Address

Inside lookThe sand-hued façade and tall archways of the

Qamardeen Hotel sets the tone for a classic Arabic

hotel with bags of style. As well as its gorgeous

boudoirs, the hotel’s outdoor pool is a real highlight

with its spacious deck (a sun-worshipper’s haven)

and all-day dining terrace – work up an appetite

with a few lengths then tuck into delicious snacks.

What’s more, the pool’s temperature-controlled

water means you’re guaranteed a cool dip when

the city’s heating up. When it comes to lunch

and dinner, the hotel serves up a delicious duo to

guests: the Lobby Lounge is the place to sip coffee

in a trendy, gloss-white setting, while the apricot-

hued Esca restaurant is all about Italian fare (its

homemade pizzas and pastas are lip-smackingly

good) – just save space for dessert, they’re too

good to resist.

Live it upThe Deluxe Suite is dripping in luxurious touches,

among them a fabulous patio where you can

reflect on the day’s adventures as you peer across

the hotel pool. And for those who really don’t want

to lift a finger, there’s a butler’s kitchen.

Before you leave… Wander to the adjoining Dukkan Qamardeen for

a shop in a traditional souk – it’s chock full of

treasures and gift-buying opportunities.

Inside lookNuran Serviced Residences will have you feeling

right at home in no time: fully-furnished and

jam-packed with creature comforts (plus a fully-

equipped kitchen and washing services), there’s

nothing more you could want for. Nuran Marina

Residences will place you footsteps away from

Dubai Marina, while Nuran Greens Serviced

Residences puts you amid manicured greens

that the whole family will love. Whichever location

tickles your fancy, the Residences’ luxe interiors

feature the finest of finishes – rooms are show-

home perfect with mink and creamy latte tones,

touch-me fabrics and quality appliances (you’ll

be fighting for the remote of the entertainment

centre) – while its leisure facilities ensure you won’t

be short on things to do. Splash in the pools, work

out in the gyms, soak in the Jacuzzis and, at the

Greens, shoot some hoops on the basketball court.

Live it upFor the crème de la crème of the Nuran Serviced

Residences, stake a claim on a three-bed Premier

Apartment with floor-to-ceiling windows, balcony

and luxe trimmings – you won’t want to leave.

Before you leave… Nuran Marina guests should visit the Dubai Marina

Yacht Club, sip a cool drink on its wood-decked

terrace and lust after the gleaming yachts. In the

Greens, meanwhile, get a taste of the high life with

a spin around the city in its resident limousine.

12 The Address

Go sightseeingIt’s for good reason that Downtown Dubai is

otherwise known as the ‘Centre of Now’ – it’s

home to some of city’s best bits, including one

impossible-to-miss structure – you guessed

it – Burj Khalifa. Take your camera to the city’s

trademark man-made structure, stand at its

foot, crane your neck and take in all 828 metres

of its glistening façade. If you don’t suffer from

vertigo there’s a way to get even closer to the

architectural wonder: make a beeline for At the

Top, Burj Khalifa – on the 124th floor – and, rather

than dangle from its heights as Tom Cruise did in

Mission Impossible 4, step out on to the cylindrical

tower’s observation deck. If the super-quick lift ride

doesn’t impress you, the endless vistas of sand,

skyscrapers and sea most certainly will.

Back on ground level, the nearby Dubai Mall

isn’t just home to a mindboggling array of shops,

but also an other-worldly display of aquatic life:

Dubai Aquarium & Underwater Zoo. Here you’ll

find everything from zig-zagging tiger sharks to

mammoth sting rays and all kinds of weird and

wonderful fish you’re unlikely to have laid eyes on

Stay Longer, Do More… Activities Whether you’re staying Uptown or Downtown, there’s a world of pursuits at your fingertips…

before (the 10 million litre tank is home to more

than 33,000 creatures). Children of all ages (and

adults too) can stare wide-eyed at the slippery

species through the viewing panel. But if you’re

keen for a closer look, head to Level 2 and take

a turn around Underwater Zoo where you’ll be

agog at its trio of zones: visit Rainforest for furrier

additions like otters and water rats (watch out for

prickly piranhas, too); Rocky Shore for doe-eyed

seals and penguins (a favourite with kids); and

Living Ocean where the mystically-named sea

dragons and moray eels swim.

Shop til you dropIs there a better destination in the world to shop

than Dubai? We don’t think so. After all, Downtown

Dubai is home to the famous Dubai Mall where

our only advice is to wear comfortable shoes:

you’ll be strolling across 12 million square feet and

perusing over 1,000 shops. If you find the prospect

overwhelming, fear not: The Dubai Mall comes in

cleverly-designed zones, so you can pick the one

that appeals to you (and your wallet) the most.

Designer brand fans will love the Fashion Avenue

– a label-loaded avenue that’s home to the likes

of Chloé, Oscar de la Renta, Georgio Armani and

Sonia Rykiel. If it’s department stores you prefer,

the mall is home to the likes of Bloomingdales,

Hamleys (with thousands of toys and intermittent

music and magic shows, you won’t be able to

keep kids away) and a Gold Souk for the magpies

among you – it’s a real-life treasure trove of jewels.

If you believe all good things come in small

packages, shop next at the Dubai Marina Mall

in Uptown Dubai. Overlooking Dubai Marina, it’s

home to a bunch of high street brands (Mango,

H&M, and Reiss among them) as well as cool

cafés – those with a bigger appetite should try

Zafran, an Indian eatery with a water-facing terrace

and modern cuisine. Kids won’t be left out here

either – a little train choo-choos its way through the

mall at regular intervals, so hop aboard – they’ll be

grinning from ear to ear.

Be a sportFor fun in the sun, Uptown Dubai is the place to be

– just decide whether you want to stay on dry land

or take to the sea… For the former, The Address

Montgomerie Dubai is a first-rate golf course in

a spectacular setting. Its 18 holes stretch across

265 acres of rolling emerald greens, interrupted

only by glistening water features (14 lakes in total)

and the imposing hotel, which appears like a

white mansion on the horizon. If it sounds picture

perfect, it is. Skilled golfers will still find challenges

aplenty – look out for the hand-shaped bunker on

hole 17 along with a mammoth 656-yard 18th hole.

Beginners, meanwhile, will be in good hands at The

Academy by Troon Golf (home to a state-of-the-art

swing studio) where a coach can take you through

the basics and help you improve your swing and

strategy. You’ll be hitting a hole-in-one in no time.

If sailing is more your style, The Address Dubai

Marina concierges are on hand to help you hire a

vessel from the neighbouring Dubai Marina Yacht

Club. Alternatively, jump on a boat that is already

equipped with an experienced crew. Start the day

early with a fishing trip or, for something even more

leisurely, take to The Athena Dubai – a two-level

boat that can accommodate dinner cruises – a

wonderful way to see the city at night.

Have family funThe Dubai Mall isn’t just a shopper’s dream but

a thrill-seeker’s too – and if you’re feeling the heat

outside, there’s no better place to cool off than on

its Olympic-sized ice rink. Get your skates on and

swish round the ice – child-sized penguin models

are also on hand for kids to hold on to while they

find their feet. Elsewhere, computer fans young

and old will love SEGA Republic. Like everything

in The Dubai Mall it comes in colossal form: a

76,000 square foot theme park dedicated to all

things SEGA that will have you holding on to your

seats on motion-simulator rides and spin coasters

– plus more arcade games than you can imagine.

If your kids still have energy to burn, KidZania®

will keep body and mind active: the ‘edutainment’

centre allows them to play at being grown-ups and

learn a few lessons along the way. Watch them

dress up as doctors, painters or firefighters and

play at the trade in a fun, educational way and get

paid for it – in KidZos, the KidZania® currency.

And relax… After all that shopping and sightseeing you may

crave a break. Happily, then, Downtown and

Uptown Dubai are home to some truly stellar spas.

You will feel the stress slip away as soon as you

step inside The Address Montgomerie Dubai’s

Angsana Spa. Here the heady scent of tropical

flowers fills the air and its therapists come trained

from Thailand (so try a Thai massage).

Make your way to the 3rd floor of The Address

Dubai Marina and you’ll find soothing spa rooms

that look out across the water, as well as an

abundance of peace-inducing treatments that both

men and women will enjoy – if you’re in a pair, why

not request a couple’s treatment room?

Back in Downtown and The Spa at The Palace

– The Old Town is worth a visit for its décor

alone – a beautiful show of Arabic style, decked

out in gold accents. But it’s not just a pretty face

– Oriental bath houses, hydro spa bath tubs and

hammam tables make it stand out from the spa

crowd. But why stop there? Head next door to The

Spa at The Address Dubai Mall where holistic

treatments take centre stage – plus its luxurious

treatment rooms lead out to the hotel’s fantastic

swimming pool.

The Spa at The Address Downtown Dubai is

also a must-try, not least for its varied treatments

(take your pick of Thai, Balinese and Hawaiian

massages) but its standout Oriental Room, the

setting for Thai and Shiatsu-inspired treatments.

Last but not least on our spa radar has to be

Armani/SPA at the Armani Hotel Dubai – slick,

cool and calm, you’ll feel as though you’ve stepped

into the future as you pass through its metallic-

hued corridors. Best of all, you can choose from a

trio of categories depending on how you want to

feel – MU for relaxation, LIBERTA for freedom and

pain relief and FLUIDITA for vitality. You’ll feel like

new in no time.

16 The Address

Middle Eastern For a taste of the region in an atmospheric setting,

the Arabesque environs of The Palace – The Old

Town is the way to go. Here, Ewaan serves up a

seemingly endless buffet, along with live cooking

stations where chefs serve up great fare on the

spot. Afterwards, there are few better places to

relax than Ewaan Lounge – where you can make

like a local and try the fruit-flavoured shisha.

Another buffet feast awaits at The Address

Dubai Mall’s NA3NA3 – it’s one of the best Arabic

restaurants in the city, and a favourite of Lebanese

food-lovers.

Asian At Thiptara, The Palace – The Old Town’s Thai

eatery, the setting is as delicious as the food itself:

it’s located by the Burj Lake, illuminated by lanterns

and with a view over the dancing Dubai Fountains

(if you haven’t seen them yet, make sure you do

– they’re spectacular). While its spicy Thai curries

are a can’t-fail choice and its Friday Yum Cha is

delectable, its fresh seafood (cooked Bangkok-

style) is a real treat – all the better savoured on its

al fresco terrace.

If it’s Chinese you crave, Hukama at The

Address Downtown Dubai serves up some of the

best cuisine of its kind city-wide. The peking duck

is a delight, while the more adventurous can wrap

their lips around the likes of plump wasabi-coated

prawns. Finally, Armani Hotel Dubai’s Armani/

Hashi takes you to Japan and back with its fresh

fish, served against jet black and scarlet red décor

– the sushi and sashimi will melt in your mouth.

Stay Longer, Do More… Eating out Feeling hungry? There’s no shortage of first-rate restaurants, cool cafés and hip lounges in Up- and Downtown Dubai – here’s a look at the cream of the crop…

EuropeanCarnivores and fish-lovers will love the

contemporary grill option at At.mosphere, Burj

Khalifa – not to mention the venue itself. The

restaurant peers over the city from a height of 122

floors, making it the highest restaurant in the world.

Take a pew next to its floor-to-ceiling windows and

you can soak up the panorama as you sink your

knife into a fine cut of meat.

Another stylish city spot is The Address Dubai

Mall’s Ember Grill and Lounge. Fittingly set in

The Dubai Mall’s Fashion Avenue, its décor looks

fresh from a fashion magazine while its open-plan

kitchen means you can see the chef rustling up

steaks and seafood. Nineteen at The Address

Montgomerie Dubai takes a similar approach, with

chefs on full view, and when it comes to the food

we urge you to try the rotisserie grill menu; the

meats are wickedly tender.

If Italy is your favoured part of the continent,

where better to savour its fare than at the Armani

Hotel Dubai? Armani/Ristorante exudes chic

Italian style from every corner with its creamy

banquettes, light gold hues and pendant lighting,

while each dish is cooked in true Tuscan style. If

you prefer food on the move, pay a visit to the less

formal Armani/Peck – they offer delicious take-

away picnics. However, for a less formal feed you

can’t go wrong with a scrumptious pizza or pasta

in the modern Esca eatery in Qamardeen Hotel.

International If you like a little bit of everything, international

cuisine is the way to go. First, make for The

Another venue that puts on an eye-widening

open all day, you can load your plate with Indian

curries, Italian pastas, Japanese sushi or French

cheese – the only question is where to start? If

you’re hungry for a relaxed setting, Links and

Bunkers at The Address Montgomerie Dubai will

hit the spot with gastro-pub-style food (portions

are generous and tasty), while the view from your

table will stretch across the golf course.

South American The award-winning Asado restaurant at The

Palace – The Old Town brings you a taste of

Argentina in the heart of Dubai. Wooden motifs,

nostalgic pictures and live music transport you to

South America in an instant – and that’s before

you’ve sampled the prime cuts, each cooked on an

open Parrilla grill at the restaurant’s core.

LoungesFor a lounge with a view, two city hotspots

should top your to-do list: Neos at The Address

Downtown Dubai and At.mosphere Lounge at

Burj Khalifa. The former can be found 63 floors

up where panoramic windows frame the bright

lights of Dubai. Couple this with trendy environs

(sparkling chandeliers, silver accents and decadent

furniture) and it’s a truly hip hangout. If you want

to go higher still, At.mosphere will take you to the

Neos

122nd floor where the lounge’s walnut-gloss wood

finishes and luxury seating create a seriously classy

setting in which to sup.

On ground level, FAI at The Palace – The Old

Town marries the theme of fire and water to

beautiful effect with a lakeside position offset by

flickering torch lights. Bag a seat on its al fresco

terrace and you can try signature drinks and Asian-

themed snacks with a view of the Dubai Fountains.

If it’s Burj Khalifa you want to admire, though, The

Address Downtown Dubai’s Cigar Lounge (level

13) is our pick – we love its retro theme and jazz

and swing tunes.

Over in Uptown Dubai, sun-worshippers should

head poolside to The Address Dubai Marina’s

Shades for daytime snacks (try the mezze), while

next door, popular nightspot Blends keeps hunger

at bay with trendy bites like Wagyu mini burgers.

CafésFans of afternoon tea will be in their element at the

palatial Al Bayt in The Palace – The Old Town. Take

high tea in its enchanting Arabic-themed lobby,

where you can spoil yourself with all manner of

mini pastries and teas. At The Address Downtown

Dubai’s Risala, meanwhile, you can take your pick

from a Western or Eastern-style afternoon tea (both

are delicious), while Karat at The Address Dubai

Mall serves up authentic Arabic spreads with a

tempting selection of gourmet sandwiches and

scones (plus great coffee). Elsewhere, newcomer

The Boulevard Café at Al Manzil Hotel is already

a hit with Downtown residents for its Parisian-

style décor and position on the groomed Emaar

Boulevard – sit back and watch the city rush by as

you savour crêpes, tartines and French snacks.
