A professional development project that prepares teachers to integrate technology into the curriculum in innovative ways that enhance student learning and support higher levels of achievement in core content areas.
Objectives

MDCC has approximately 5000 early childhood and elementary education majors
All of them receive their math and sciences education at MDCC before transferring to an upper division University

Background: Elementary and Middle School teachers take
only education courses after graduating from MDCC
In the Fall 2003, MDCC will offer a four year degree in math and science education.

Purpose:
Faculty from the Alliance Plus program are training MDCC faculty teaching math, Sciences and EME to elementary and middle school education majors in the unique and compelling uses of the Internet in the classroom, to widen their knowledge in the areas mentioned above.
