    Arranging Test Items1. Similar items should be grouped together.For example multiple choice items should betogether and separated from true-falseitems.

    2. Arrange test items logically. Test items haveto be arranged from the easiest to the mostdifficult.

    3. Selection items should be placed at the startof the test and supply items at the end.

    Scoring the Essay test2 ways of scoring an essay test:

    1. Holistic scoring. A total score is assigned toeach essay question based on the teachersgeneral impression or over-all assessment.Answers to an essay question are classifiedinto the following categories:

    Outstanding, very satisfactory, fair, andpoor. A score value is assigned to each ofthese categories.

    Outstanding gets the highest score while poorresponses gets the lowest score.

    fared in the test. Answers to theitems have to be reviewed in classfor the students to know wherethey committed mistakes.
